Jeff Buzensky (government employee number 011985TP) was a guard posted at Federal surveillance center K-21B on October 23, 2077.

Background[edit | edit source]

Buzensky was on duty on October 23, 2077. When the alarm went off after the sirens started they followed protocol locking the door, sealing the facility[1] from the radioactive fallout, and were only able to save those on duty at the time. One man who was on duty however – Bill Stevens – went out to his car to get something. He was locked out just before he could reach the hatch. Buzensky could hear him screaming[2] before he died of radiation poisoning.[3]

He perished from starvation after a few days when the facility ran out of survival rations. He lamented the lies about the facility being well stocked, blaming budget cuts. In his final moment, he recording a last goodbye holotape telling his wife he loved her.[2]
