Jun Long is a survivor of the Quincy Massacre and part of the refugees whom Preston Garvey lead to safety into Concord... wherein they got cornered at the Museum of Freedom by Jared's gang in 2287.

Background[edit | edit source]

A refugee from Quincy following Preston Garvey's lead, Jun has lost everything. When Gunners attacked Quincy, he fled the town with his wife, son Kyle, and little more than the shirts on their backs. Taking refuge in Lexington, the group was eventually forced out by a combination of feral ghouls and raiders encroaching on the town. With their numbers steadily dwindling down to almost nothing losing over three fourths of their number in a month, including her son, Jun is distraught.[1] While his wife's reaction to their victimization manifested as fury and anger, Jun became a wreck. Paranoid, skittish, and rapidly losing weight, he is a shadow of his former self, permanently scarred by his recent experiences, especially the loss of his only child. Jun has even gone so far as to ask Mama Murphy to communicate with Kyle using the Sight, but she says that doing so is beyond its ability.[2]

  1. The Sole Survivor: "Who are these people?"
Preston Garvey: "Just folks lookin' for a new home. A fresh start. I've been with 'em since Quincy. Lexington looked good for a while, but the Ghouls drove us outta there. A month ago, there were 20 of us. Yesterday there were 8. Now, we're 5. It's just me, the Longs - Marcy and Jun - that's old Mama Murphy on the couch. And this here's Sturges."
    (Preston Garvey's dialogue)
  2. Jun Long: "Mama Murphy, can we talk?"
Mama Murphy: "I know what you're gonna ask me, Jun. I've seen it. And there's nothing I can do for ya."
Jun Long: "But... You have the Sight... It has to be able to..."
Mama Murphy: "It can't talk to the dead, kid. Even the Sight has limits. I'm sorry."
