Achievements

I'd just go with pool cue and throwing spear for the comparison table on the Old Glory page. By the way, how do you know Old Glory is repairable with a throwing spear? Looking at the GECK, Old Glory is repairable with pool cues, but when I check throwing spear, I don't see a link to pool cue or other (indirect) link to Old Glory. So how does that work? Jspoel

"Severity" of an insult is quite subjective, is it not? Would my definition of a severe insult be the same as yours? We can't have that as a criterion for giving out site bans due to chat violations. I'm not exactly sure how common of a practice it is, but it most definitely doesn't seem right to me. I'll breakdown some information for you in this message below per your request from being my mentor in the NUN.

- Console: PS3 Games: Fallout New Vegas, Fallout 3 Add ons: (Dead Money, Old World Blues, Lonesome Road)

Console:PC Games: Fallout, Fallout 2 (Never played but still own)

Networking: I have a few friends who I could bring to the team if this seems like an environment that they would like. They are more savvy with Tactics and Brotherhood of Steel games, but have no wiki experience, but I have talked a few of them into learning "some day"

Skill set: A large vocabulary, coupled with fast learning and a love for constructive criticism . Physical appearance description specialties (large vocabulary gives me a good sense of what needs to be said to communicate a message that is easily understood)

I know some HTML, but am always willing to learn more -

On a personal note, I am just in love with the theme of your profile and name(Gunny for gunnery sergeant right?) If you don't mind me asking, are you in service/did you ever serve, or is it that you just love the USMC/ have family or friends in service? My goal in life is to become an outstanding Marine. I'm not in service as of yet, I have many things I have to take care of that are of personal matter and would take extensive writing to explain.

Navbox order

First the DLC navbox, then the weapon navbox. I think that's the order already on most of the pages. Reminds me, I'm thinking about moving the weapon sounds to above the gallery. Well, I would never protect an article indefinitely, considering the history we've had with that eh? But as for the protecting moves for the article, it was done in accordance with the editor's note in the lead section. Requesting your help/ideas

Hey Gunny. You might have heard about some of my concerns with the bug verification project. They are summarised here. To combat one of the points - bugs with missing platform tags, I was thinking of implementing a new template, one that editors can use to tag platform tag-less bugs instead of putting them up for verification (which, as mentioned, will most likely end up being deleted after 14 days). This way editors who are interested can go through a category to test out bugs. And then there will actually be some bug verifying going on. Your thoughts, suggestions? Saint being a problem

Saint pain has been spamming "In the ghetto" in the chat for some time; On top of that after I kept asking him to stop he insulted me! My, "In the ghetto" joke did not interrupt any topic as it was spread out & only posted under off topic comments.

It was an Elvis joke as any random text could be ended with the line "In the ghetto". It was all quite harmless. Like a "Face palm" or "INDEED" is commonly used.

As a point of reference, the next topic on chat was a continuous line of all folks on chat posting "You are so ugly" lines at each other. Random chat should never be considered a crime when the chat it's self is in a random mood.

Denis517 should stop trying to play at being a mod.

Social Media Stuff

Hey Gunny. Spoke to George @ Wikia today. Amongst other things he's going to help us sort the social media stuff. Not sure what we're doing about the Facebook link; we've noticed the Youtube link is also problematic and the G+ link goes nowhere, but Wikia are going to help us sort that. I think I ought to really read the rules for this place. I had an idea while I was away, what if you guys could find me a job to do while I was here? I'm pretty good at spell checking pages and I know quite a bit about Fallout:New Vegas and Fallout 3. I figured I had caused enough of a mess to have to clean another up, you know? Just a thought. It might be a good chance to find a way to matter around here. But I'm guessing the best thing I could do for the wiki is to read the rules. Which I will do, starting tommorow. You wouldn't believe it Gunny, but there's been several times I've been tempted to ask if you'd be willing to act as my second on the NUN (and every time I considered it, it was you who I had in mind for the job); but I kinda held back figuring you were too busy. Since you've volunteered, it would be great to have you, especially as my plate is filling a bit more than before (Not only have I got here, and my studies, I'm now doing a day a week's voluntary work on top of a full working week... argh) meaning NUN stuff did fall a bit behind.

Hey I was just wonder as a regular user, if there was a limit to the number of sandboxes I can have. I know i have noticed you have at least 3 maybe 4 sandboxes you do work in. Zap glove

You removed the zap glove from the Two-Step Goodbye page again. Now that's an example from which I say add that one to the comparison table. Comparison Tables

Thanks for pointing that out to me; I'll make sure to give it a read. Makes me wonder what else I've missed. What got me about what you added though wasn't the comparison tables in general. It's just that boxing tape is not a variant of the boxing gloves. Saying that would be like saying the 9mm and 10mm pistols are the same because they both have pistol in the name. ^Skål! 21:26, August 2, 2012 (UTC)

That was some of the final outcome of the forum. It was decided (I had some rather different ideas) that some weapons that were similar, e.g. multiplas goes with plasma rifles, tri-beam goeas with laser rifles, would be compared while they were not necessarily "variants" of each other. You'll notice I refrained from actually added them to the "Variants" section, instead just adding them to the comparison table. I put boxing tape/gloves together because they are the only fatigue damage unarmed weapons and had previously been in the comparison tables before I added the template and removed them.

As for anything else you may have missed, I believe only the formal vote on the notable loot policy and Sig's forum on the proper procedures for the bug verification project spring to mind. Otherwise, it was very quiet, from a policy and/or major changes standpoint. I did make a new template to try out for using rotating content on things like page-top quotes and such. You can see it in action at Rose of Sharon Cassidy, both in the page-top quote and the notable quotes section. The Gunny

As for the rotating content for quotes, that sounds very interesting. I've always been in support of adding every non-generic quote. Will this be possible with your idea(s)? Or will it still be limited to only a rather small list of quotes? In any case, I'll go ahead and give that a look as well.

Saint Pain

I've already read the logs. Could have been 1 or 2 lagbans I was thinking too. This infinite ban is exaggerated in my opinion, going from 1 day to infinite, even with the total ban and chat history. I've tried to reduce the sentence but I feel it's out of my hands now. If I push it further from now on I'm undermining too many mods' authority and then we'll have a larger problem. GECK w/OWB esm

I've been trying to find information on the Sentry Bot Mark series since we didn't have a section for them on Sentry bot (Fallout: New Vegas). Basically I need confirmation on their Base ID/DLC ID, everything under the Statistics Column, and Dropped Items also changed for the OWB versions of the robots looking at other robot types. ^Message 10:26, August 21, 2012 (UTC)

Extended Nav-Boxes

I mostly added it for the Moose. It's much simpler to change the colour schemes using this particular template. Also, it by-passes an interesting obstacle I found while last updating the Patron's section. It seems there was a limit of how many nav-boxes I could use on one blog. Now, using this additional template, I should be able to by-pass this nuisance so I can make additional patrons available at the same time. This is in theory, of course. Just look at the most recent SNM edition. Try adding another nav-box to it, and it'll kick you out saying you've reached the maximum limit. It's quite vexing.

Just tested it out, and got the answer I was looking for. Adding anymore of that particular template adds my blog to this category. It seems to be just nav-boxes though, as I have no trouble with adding other templates.
