Staff Sergeant (SSGT) Lansky was a soldier in the U.S. Army posted at the Hopeville missile silo bunker in 2077.

Lansky oversaw the Hopeville missile silo's commissary terminal system, and sent out several announcements to the base personnel; first a reminder that all the commissaries shared the same central depository, and second that the commissary system was shut down after the discovery that bottle caps could be used as a stand-in for the specialized commissary pay chits.[1][2]
