Fallout 4[edit | edit source]
The Lead Belly perk reduces, or even eliminates, radiation damage from eating or drinking.”— Fallout 4 loading screen hints
The first rank of this perk lowers the amount of radiation taken from food and drink, and the second rank lowers the amount even further. The third and final rank negates radiation from food and drink entirely.
Notes[edit | edit source]
- The usefulness of this perk is debatable, since Rad-Away and Rad-X become fairly common items later on in both games. In addition, several types of apparel, including some types of power armor, have radiation resistance.
- In Fallout: New Vegas, there is an abundance of clean water, reducing the usefulness of the perk, although the benefit is extended to all irradiated food and water.
- With the addition of Implant Y-3 in Old World Blues, this perk falls even further into obsolescence.
Bugs[edit | edit source]
- Lead Belly will cause food that removes rads to be half as effective.
