A very stylish pre-War black, heavy leather jacket. This jacket is an ill choice to wear in the scorching sun of the desert and one of the arms has been torn off.[1][2]

  1. Vault Dweller's Survival Guide p.5-18: "What’s the point of wearing armor if you can’t look good? The Leather Jacket is a toned down version of Leather Armor, providing minimal protection while not sacrificing any dodging capability. Stylish, too. Unfortunately, poor ventilation and the black leather make this a very hot armor to wear under the scorching desert sun."
  2. Fallout 2 Official Strategies & Secrets p.64: "The hip Leather Jacket is a relic from the before-times. It has only one sleeve left, but it makes up in style what it makes lacks in protection."
