Low-Light Vision is a condition in Fallout: New Vegas.
Characteristics[]
Low-light vision grants the Courier an effect to improve their ability to see in darkened areas, both interior cells and the exterior worldspace. It can be obtained either as an enhanced ability through consumables or through any piece of equipment that offers night vision.
Affected items[]
It is granted by a few consumables, such as Cateye, Nuka-Cola Quartz, and the Friend of the Night perk.
Limited low-light vision can also be granted by using weapons with the night scope mod attached, such as the varmint rifle, or wearing apparel like the hazmat suit and the helmets of the riot gear series.
Behind the scenes[]
- The effect is almost identical to Night-Eye in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, also made by Bethesda Softworks.
- The opening cinematic for New Vegas depicts a Veteran Ranger turning on the low-light optics in his helmet, whereas the actual in-game helmet has no such capacity.
