The MFC grenade is an explosive weapon in the Fallout: New Vegas add-on Gun Runners' Arsenal.

Characteristics

The MFC grenade is an improvised weapon, created by converting a microfusion cell into a thrown explosive device. It has a narrow blast radius, having a potential blast radius of 28 feet[1] and similar effects to a plasma grenade. It does not, however, melt down enemies on a critical hit.

Note: this item is also craftable via a dialogue option with Veronica, or with ED-E (with at least 1 rank of the Camarader-E perk).

Locations

This weapon must be crafted by the player if they have taken the Mad Bomber perk, either individually or as part of an MFC cluster. It cannot be found on enemies or in containers.

Bugs

  • PCIcon pc.png PlayStation 3Icon ps3.png Xbox 360Icon xbox360.png MFC grenades are only classified as a standard holdout weapon: they are not added to the list of advanced holdout weapons, so if you have a Sneak skill over 50, you will not be able to bring the weapon into holdout areas. This same bug also affects the tin grenade, Li'l Devil, and Nuka-grenade.
