The MP trooper helmet is a piece of headwear in Fallout: New Vegas.

Characteristics[]

A version of the standard trooper helmet issued to NCR military police, it has a dark blueish black paint job with the letters MP marked on the top in white paint.

Notes[]

  • The DT even at max condition is quite low. This is due to the fact that steel helmets were not meant to be bulletproof, rather protect from flying shrapnel and debris. The helmets would be quite useful while inside old buildings, as they would protect from falling chunks of building material, and the brim would be useful outside, to protect from the sun.
  • Glasses can be worn with the MP trooper helmet, they will be visible and in front of the goggles.
  • According to Josh Sawyer, the helmets "likely would have used metal with a cloth over the top, which was fairly common in the 20th century."[Non-game 1] They are most likely made en masse out of melted down scrap metal and pressed into shape.

Behind the scenes[]

According to Brian Menze, who made the concept for the Ranger, he "used a pith helmet for the design"[Non-game 2] when he was putting the outfit together.
