Mad Johnny Wes is a hostile wastelander and the only human occupant of Hubris Comics in Fallout 3.

Background[edit | edit source]

Johnny Wes was hemmed in by a super mutant camp and almost savaged to death by a relentless ghoul onslaught. Due to this, his mind snapped, reverting to its most basic instinct. He's holed up in the most defensible location of Hubris Comics (a foreman's office he's dubbed "the Alamo"), and rigged the entire building with traps.[1]

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • Mad Johnny Wes is one of a handful of "boss" characters with abnormally high health for a human non-player character. He also has an unusually high Perception of 10, allowing him to spot enemies easily. He is positioned on a balcony, guarded by two automatic turrets that put you under heavy fire while you are attacking him. It is advisable that you disable the two turrets first, and only attempt to fight him with numerous stimpaks in your inventory.
  • Like Arkansas in Minefield, Wes is scripted to fire at and attempt to detonate any explosive objects the player gets close to, even if he hasn't actually detected the Lone Wanderer yet.

Appearances[edit | edit source]

Mad Johnny Wes appears only in Fallout 3.
