Mark 2 synth helmet is a unique helmet in Fallout 4.

Background[edit | edit source]

A lightweight helmet from materials synthesized by the Institute, designed to provide protection for early generation synths without greatly increasing their encumbrance. The shell features a drop-down polarized visor and a side-mounted camera with communications equipment.

Characteristics[edit | edit source]

Although developed by The Institute to increase the protection of their generation 1 and 2 synths, it can also be worn by humans. Overall the synth helmet is similar to the combat armor helmet, with slightly more emphasis on energy protection. The key advantage of the Mark 2 helmet is that it has the Cunning legendary mod and comes with a top-level material mod which can be stripped for use on other helmets at will.

This item has the following modification slots: Material. All numbers are relative to the base stats.

Due to a bug, the helmet does not change material correctly; if modified, it will have the same, beige coloring.
