Mister Holdout is a shady weapons dealer living and working on the New Vegas Strip in Fallout: New Vegas.

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • Mister Holdout was first seen in the hands on demo shown at the E3 2010 trying to sell weapons to the Courier on the Strip. Holdout wore the same suit as the Mysterious Stranger in the beta, but in-game he wears a pre-War business suit.

Notable quotes[edit | edit source]

  • "Simple - you can't bring guns into the casino, that's why. They'll strip you to your fists. Surrre, they say you get it all back when you leave. Me? I don't like being without a little *insurance* when it's my caps on the table."

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

  • Holdout is a term for concealing and hiding cards on one's body. Additionally, a holdout gun is another name used to refer to a pocket-pistol or derringer: handguns of very small size and caliber, making them easy to conceal, and meant to be used in emergencies or situations where conventional weapons are inaccessible.

Appearances[edit | edit source]

Mister Holdout appears only in Fallout: New Vegas.
