Mole miners are creatures found in Fallout 76.

Background

Trapped within their deteriorating mining suits, the Mole Miners are frenzied combatants who attack anything they perceive as a threat.[1] Despite the suffering, some semblance of cognition and human-like thought remains and mole miners will frequently carry things they considered important in a previous life, such as keys to their old mining lockers,[2] even going as far as to find value in their collections and assembling vending machines and opening up a store to sell their wares for a price.[3] They were first encountered by the Fire Breathers in March 2095.[4]

Characteristics

The miners are a high level humanoid enemy. Their frenzy and thick mining suits give them a high resistance to damage and copious amounts of health, and they carry a variety of weapons into combat, primarily firearms and repurposed mining equipment. However, while this makes them dangerous, it makes them excellent sources of spare weapons for components and researching new weapon mods. Another advantage is that the mining gear they drop can be deconstructed for black titanium and other rare ingredients.
