Nevada State Route 157 (also known as SR 157 and Kyle Canyon Road) is a pre-War state highway of Nevada, now its remains are in the Mojave Wasteland.

Layout[edit | edit source]

This route starts at its junction with U.S. Route 95 where it heads west up Mount Charleston, rapidly gaining elevation. Within a span of 20 miles an elevation of 3000 feet is gained with noticeable difference: temperatures drop, trees and shrubs become greener and more numerous and there is lasting snow cover during winter months. The highway's western terminus is at Jacobstown.

After over 200 years of exposure to the elements with no maintenance, the road has withstood quite well, but is still heavily damaged. The road is also very dangerous as it runs by Ruby Hill mine, infested with lakelurks, and Silver Peak mine, home to a nest of cazadores.

Appearances[edit | edit source]

Nevada State Route 157 appears only in Fallout: New Vegas.
