Nevada State Route 164 (also known as SR 164, Nipton Road or Nipton Highway) is a pre-War state highway of Nevada, now its remains (no more than a well defined trail) are in the Mojave Wasteland. The route itself begins at the California-Nevada state line about 3 miles east of Nipton, but the road begins in California as an intersection of Interstate 15. The highway reaches its eastern terminus at the junction with U.S. Route 95 in the center of Camp Searchlight; however, the roadway continues as Cottonwood Cove Road and ends at Cottonwood Cove.

Background[edit | edit source]

In 2281, because of dangers along SR 164 and I-15, the NCR has begun turning away traders and other tourists from New California at the Mojave Outpost.[1]

Layout[edit | edit source]

Currently a traveled trail with abandoned vehicles, a Jackal hideout, a Viper ambush, scattered billboards, and various wildlife.

Appearances[edit | edit source]

Nevada State Route 164 appears only in Fallout: New Vegas.
