I disagree

I thought Fallout Three's story was better simply because why does NCR think I'll be so great when all I've done is killed some guy in a suit. I've had this problem with the game since I got it. Do they ask everyone who enters New Vegas to ally NCR with the Boomers? I've always thought that was a pretty big plot hole. If there is a good reason behind it I forgot please remind me of it. I'm going to get flamed for this aren't I?

New Vegas

That's because it is a desert, and the setting is post-post-apocalyptic. Despite the Great War happening over 200 years ago Fallout 3 treated it like it happened 30 years ago. Cartman!

I understand your disappointment as its something you've become accustomed to and expect in a Fallout game, however it is made quite clear in New Vegas that very few nukes actually damaged the city, as most were destroyed by House's defense systems on the Lucky 38. --Cartman! 19:05, April 20, 2011 (UTC)

Images

I'm assuming you've used it before but in preferences there's a signature section which allows you to change the default, and you can add images into the code if you've uploaded them. To make it easier you could just copy my signature and modify it to suit your own ends, e.g. change the Cartman picture and the talk bubble to something you would prefer and remember to change the links etc. It's a good idea to try out a new signature on a sandbox page or something in case you make a mistake. -- 12:50, May 22, 2011 (UTC)

Thinking it might be a good idea to start coordinating on news if you're looking to do more. I'm finding the Weekly digest sometimes a bit of a strain with study, so being able to split some of the load would be most welcome (recruit a deputy has been "on the list" for a while)... We've got a Breaking News logo (somewhere) that I've been using on one off articles like this (based on the new wiki news logo). We'd also have to coordinate on a "standard" as to when to run a one off, and when to just wait for the digest...

Tactical Atomic Panda's Challenge of the Month The current monthly challenge is the fan-fiction challenge! Create your own post-apoclayptic story, and send it in to compete with other works! Once we have 5 competitors, we will be continuing on to determine the winner(s). Rewards: 1st Place - 100 credits / 2nd Place - 50 credits / 3rd Place - 10 credits We currently have 2 contestants, and are still looking for 3 more before we are able to move forward! The latest edition may be found here - 5/16/14 Game Streamers Before listing off our streamers, keep in mind that our game streams do not follow many rules, nor do they necessarily have to follow the general theme of the site. This means that our streams are not always kid-friendly, nor will they always be sci-fi/apocalyptic themed. GarouxBloodline (Twitch) - Mostly streams old horror games such as System Shock II and Half-Life 1. Occasionally plays more casual games such as Hearthstone and Serious Sam. Chris the Saiyan (Justin.tv) - Jack of all trades streamer, and occasionally streams shows such as Futurama. Dethshrimp (Twitch) - Plays mostly casual games such as League of Legends and World of Warcraft. Site News: We have hit a new milestone of having 234 unique hits in a single day! As a comparison, after nearly 2 decades of existence, No Mutants Allowed has had around 900 unique hits as their highest number in a single day. We have brought someone in to help improve the site, and our new logo was made a bit back. Expect a few changes over the incoming weeks. Specifically, we will be adding slide-out tabs to the main page, and a navigation footer for technical links. Over the next 2-4 weeks, expect the site's pages to be polished up and more aesthetically appealing. At the end of the process with the inclusion of the slide-out tabs, new logo and footer, we will be officially announcing the Moose as a finished community hub, in which we will begin expanding. A blog will be thrown up something early next month detailing the plans we have laid out. Tragic the Garnering has now been released! Cards are available through the digital store, and a page will be created this week detailing the rules. However, we have ran into some trouble with the two programs we use (Magic Set Editor & MtG Apprentice), and unfortunately we will not be able to host games online. Until we get a new program up and running that can be available to the community for free, we will instead be selling the cards as collector's items, and we will be setting up rewards for anyone that gets together and plays with the cards in person. Unfortunately, with the delay involved with TtG and a few other real-world issues, I was not able to get around to including the Ask Marcus and Gourmand of the Apocalypse features last week.
