The Nuka-grenade is an explosive weapon in the Fallout: New Vegas add-on, Gun Runners' Arsenal.

Characteristics[edit | edit source]

The Nuka-grenade is a powerful improvised explosive device. It incorporates the radioactive properties of a relatively rare Nuka-Cola variant to produce an enhanced plasma blast. On detonation, the 21-foot[1] blast radius is bathed in blue-white flames, while an interior 9-foot[2] circle is doused in extremely high levels of radiation, to the tune of 50 rads per second. The radiation dissipates fairly quickly.

The Vault Boy image differs from that used in Fallout 3.

Note: this item is also craftable via a dialogue option with Veronica, or with ED-E (with at least 1 rank of the Camarader-E perk).

Locations[edit | edit source]

This weapon must be crafted by the player. It cannot be found on enemies or in containers.

There are very few bottles of Nuka-Cola Quartz in the game (22 in the base game). The Nuka Chemist perk allows the player to create more. More Nuka-Cola Quartz can be found in the Old World Blues and Lonesome Road add-ons.

Bugs[edit | edit source]

  • PCIcon pc.png PlayStation 3Icon ps3.png Xbox 360Icon xbox360.png Nuka-grenades are only classified as a standard holdout weapon: they are not added to the list of advanced holdout weapons, so if you have a Sneak skill over 50, you will not be able to bring the weapon into holdout areas. This same bug also affects the tin grenade, MFC grenade, and Li'l Devil.
