Come on. Let's see if they've got anything to drink in this dump.

Paladin Vargas is a Brotherhood of Steel Paladin in Fallout 3.

Background

Born in 2247, the sergeant of Lyon’s Pride is no-nonsense, professional type. He is Sarah’s right hand man; she relies on him for his experience and advice, and he supports her and mentors her. There is a very close but mostly unspoken friendship between them.[1]

Daily schedule

He is initially encountered patrolling the lobby of the GNR building plaza. After completing the Following in His Footsteps quest he can be seen patrolling the Citadel. When traveling across the bridge during the quest Take it Back! Vargas is usually killed. He is no longer present in the game after Take It Back!.

Notes

  • If the Lone Wanderer skips the Galaxy News Radio part of the main quest and goes directly to Rivet City to talk to Dr. Madison Li, and continue from there with the rest of the main quest, Paladin Vargas will be marked essential during Take it Back!.
  • Killing Vargas prior to Take it Back! will cause a glitch in which Liberty Prime is unable to move. This can be solved by carrying Vargas' body behind Liberty Prime (his body should be lying outside the Citadel).

Appearances

Paladin Vargas appears only in Fallout 3.
