The Pancor Jackhammer combat shotgun is a small gun in Fallout Tactics.

Background[edit | edit source]

Main article: Combat shotgun

Designed by Pancor, the Jackhammer combat shotgun is one of the most powerful pre-War close range weapons. It is essentially a gas-operated revolver, using a bullpup configuration. Placing the magazine behind the trigger group allowed the designers to make it more compact and better balanced without compromising accuracy or ability to control it in automatic mode.[1]

Characteristics[edit | edit source]

Jackhammer is a peculiar weapon. It ranks above the Neostead Combat SG and the H&K CAWS in terms of damage and range, however, it cannot make targeted shots. However, it has a lower Strength requirement to boot, making it good for close quarters combat.

Locations[edit | edit source]

  • Kansas City: Inside a chest in the mutant compound.
  • Merchant special encounter: Carried by raider guards, can be stolen.

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

  • The Pancor Jackhammer was a prototypical automatic shotgun that was designed in 1984 and patented in 1987, though it never entered production as its target audience (military and police forces worldwide) never placed an order for these weapons and Pancor went bankrupt.
