Q-35

I had to revert your edit on the Q-35 page. While I see the link to the Q-36, we have a very strict policy on adding real world and pop culture references. Pop culture references need to either be backed up with a reference, e.g. a dev quote, or blatantly obvious. This has come up before and has not gained enough support to include on the page. There's already a motion to include this on the article talk page so maybe you could add your thoughts there to see if there's a consensus to add the note. Removals

For making many, unwarranted removals. I have banned you from editing this wiki for 3 days. The spec you have been removing is blatantly obvious.--Bunny2Bubble 00:39, March 19, 2012 (UTC)

I've decided to reconsider your ban, after seeing your message from Gunny, it appears you were just following advice, however, don't remove spec unless it's obviously stupid. Message me back if you are alright with this.--Bunny2Bubble 00:47, March 19, 2012 (UTC)
You know what - Could you just ban me for life instead? Seriously, I'm too old to fight over a pop culture reference that most people born before 1980 already know. Half of these "Behind the Scenes" "pop culture references" are strained at best and wishful thinking at worst.

So, go ahead and ban me for life because no one here has ever heard of Warner Brothers, the character of Marvin the Martian (who's that?) and has never, ever heard of the Illudium Q-36 Space Modulator. Ever. Since they were born. No mention of it at all on the Intertubes. I'm sure that when Obsidian named the "Q-35 Matter Modulator," it was all just a complete coincidence. Seriously, they looked at that energy weapon and said to themselves, "What do we name this unique energy weapon we have created?" And they replied, "Uh, I don't know? The Q-35 Matter Modulator?" To which was stated, "Perfect! Because no one has ever named a powerful energy weapon like that ever before in the history of mankind! We are free and clear to move on to the next great task in our lives..."

Go ahead. Ban me. Ban me for life. And when you ban me, you can claim that I was banned because I kept making this crazy claim that the "Q-35 Matter Modulator" had something to do with the "Illudium Q-36 Space Modulator," which it obviously didn't. Because you know better.

I will be back tomorrow to add the pop culture reference and I expect to be banned tomorrow for life. LIFE! FOREVER! Until I'm dead in the grave with no hope of resurrection or reincarnation. Warn the Gunny. I'll be back. I want to see that little pop up telling me that I am no longer welcomed to the Fallout Wikia for my heresy, the heresy of the Q-36 Space Modulator.

Finally, the Fallout Wikia will be free of the Q-36 Space Modulator reference once and for all, like St. Patrick driving the snakes out of Ireland or St. Jiub driving the Cliff Racers out of Vvardenfell. Freedom!66.168.42.81 02:15, March 24, 2012 (UTC)

I'm more than old enough to have not only heard of what you speak, but also seen the cartoons as a little kid. As I said after I reverted your first edit, the best way to do this would be to leave something on the talk page asking for a consensus for adding the note. A discussion would then ensue if this is one of those "blatantly obvious" references that I spoke to you about. If no one replied within a reasonable amount of time, then you would be well within your rights to add the note with the caveat that everyone had their chance to respond, but didn't. Since you're so adamant about including the note, I'm inclined to just say you should put the note on the page, but I also think that if you go through the normal consensus process you'll gain a better understanding of how that process works. Instead of adding the note back to the page tomorrow, click the link to the talk page I linked you to above and add a note asking if inclusion is merited. I'll see you tomorrow and we'll discuss this on the talk page hopefully. The Gunny 380px-USMC-E7 svg 02:50, March 24, 2012 (UTC)
