Peyton Huxley was John-Caleb Bradberton's personal executive assistant, working at Nuka-World before the Great War.

Background[]

Huxley proved himself to be capable and competent, earning the trust and respect of Bradberton over the years. After devising a way to procure liability form signatures from the next of kin killed by Nuka-Cola Quantum product testing, Bradberton was beside himself, complimenting his ingenuity, surmising that Peyton likely saved the company billions.[1] He lavished compliments on his assistant, telling him that he was at the top of his game, and someday may sit in the big chair.[1] In addition, John-Caleb instructed him to enjoy the brand new Quantum Blue Corvega delivered to his driveway this morning, reminding him that he earned it.[1]

Bradberton showed a light hearted side of himself when communicating with Peyton, uncharacteristic in his other missives.[2] Bradberton had been preoccupied, neglecting to submit his comments and changes on the pending Hidden Cappy contest.[2] He promised Peyton that he would complete it that week, and if he delayed further, to tell marketing to "come after [him] with the torches and the pitchforks."[2]

Peyton assisted in the preparations required for the CEO's transfer to the life-sustaining LEAP-X system, which involved the removal of Bradberton's head to be affixed to the system permanently.[3] These tasks including clearing his schedule, transferring all medical records to General Braxton's team, and then subsequently destroying all backup copies.[4] Peyton shares his trepidation at the thought of him moving forward with the procedure, as his presence had been the driving force behind the Nuka-Cola Corporation since the beginning.[4] Peyton imagines that without the ability to personally serve as a leader and engage with the public, the company would suffer a great loss, but also noted that Bradberton was likely well aware of the implications.[4]

On April 2, 2077, Bradberton underwent the surgical procedure, his head successfully removed and transferred into the LEAP-X system.[5] Before doing so, the CEO wrote a final terminal entry, noting that he had instructed Peyton to handle all of his affairs if something were to go awry.[5] And if the procedure succeeded, as Peyton was the only one outside the LEAP-X team who knew about it, Bradberton had entrusted him to visit daily to report on events happening outside of the vault.[5]
