Template:Armor gamebryo The Pimp-Boy 3 Billion is a standard Pip-Boy 3000 that has been "pimped out" with what appears to be gold plating as well as encrusted diamonds.

Appearances

The Pimp-Boy 3 Billion only appears in Fallout: New Vegas.

Locations

Can be found in Mick & Ralph's. It can be acquired by completing the long How Little We Know (in any way) quest, by completing The House Always Wins IV or by just killing every Omerta inside Gomorrah, especially Big Sal, to receive it (no matter what option you choose) return to Freeside and talk to Mick to get your Pimp-boy

Notes

  • Once received, the player automatically replaces the old Pip-Boy 3000 with the Pimp-Boy 3 Billion. To switch back to your original Pip-Boy 3000, simply talk to Mick again and select "I'd like to switch to my Pip-Boy."
  • The disco music played upon equipping the Pimp-boy can be heard again repeatably by simply going back Mick's and swaping it back for the old pip-boy.
  • If you choose to get it through talking to Mick during the quest: How Little We Know do not pick the choice how's business as it will sometimes disable the choice of telling him that the Omertas are buying his guns again.

Bugs

  • Xbox 360Icon xbox360.pngPCIcon pc.png When obtained there is a chance that the Pimp-Boy will be incorrectly applied to the character model and will always be viewed at an odd angle when accessing the Pimp-Boy menu. There is no known fix for this glitch.
  • Xbox 360Icon xbox360.pngPCIcon pc.png The Pimp-Boy 3 Billion may clip through the arm of your character (Confirmed on female characters)
  • Xbox 360Icon xbox360.png Sometimes, after completing the How Little We Know quest, you can't tell Mick that the Omertas are buying his weapons again. To work around this, before telling Troike to destroy the weapons, have his contract destroyed by talking to Big Sal before completing the quest. Then tell Troike he is free and then tell him to destroy to the guns.
  • Alternatively, you can add the pipboy using console command player.additem 11bacb 1 and then player.equipitem 11bacb. To revert back to your old pipboy enter player.equipitem 15038.
  • PC Version - If you add the pimpboy through the console add/equip method just above you can then go to Mick & Ralph's and the option to switch back to pip-boy is there. So it breaks the bug of no speech option to tell Mick the Omerta's are buying again. So now you can switch back and forth!
