The following is based on information from Fallout Tactics. |
The Avenger minigun or CZ57 Avenger[1][2] is a big gun in Fallout Tactics.
Background
Rockwell designed the 5mm CZ57[1] Avenger[Non-game 1] as the replacement for their aging CZ53 personal minigun. The Avenger's design improvements include improved gel-fin cooling and chromium plated barrel-bores, giving it a greater range and lethality.[3] It also has an ammo capacity of 120x 5mm rounds like the earlier versions of the CZ53 model.
Characteristics
This variant of the Avenger, unlike the more common model, is chambered for 5.56mm bullets instead of 5mm.
Locations
- Bunker Alpha and Beta, stealable from General Barnaky.
- Bunker Gamma, Delta, and Epsilon, carried by General Dekker.
- Kansas City, 2 carried by super mutants.
- Junction City, found on multiple Reavers.
- Cold Water, found in a crate.
- Buena Vista, found on dead members of the Brotherhood.
- Trader special encounter, for sale.
Behind the scenes
The Avenger might be named after the GAU-8 Avenger 30mm Gatling-type rotary cannon mounted on the A-10 Thunderbolt II.
