Robert "Rob" Mitchell was a doorman at the Whitespring Resort when the bombs fell.[1]

Robert had been doorman at the Whitespring Resort for over sixty years. His tenure meant that even after a majority of the resort staff's jobs were automated as part of the 'Ironclad Service' program, he was one of the few spared from being terminated when the robots were fully implemented.[1] He was one of only four staff members who did not flee the resort after the bombs fell, and he supported Joyce Easton in her eventual leadership of the survivors who remained at the resort.[2]
When the survivors were finally forced to evacuate the resort due to the scheduled 'Modern Heritage' renovations in 2079, Robert refused to leave his post.[3] He moved to the Whitespring Golf Club along with Lew Palmest and a group of resort guests which included Ted, Zack, Phil, and Mark. He was the first of the group to be killed by the feral ghouls which eventually overran the golf club.[4]
