Robot armor is a set of armor item in Fallout 4. The other two variants are sturdy robot armor and heavy robot armor.

Background[edit | edit source]

First created by the Rust Devils, robot armor is essentially a better metal armor crafted from destroyed robots. Although heavier than the standard post-War metal armor, it offers more protection against ballistic and energy weapons.[1]

Characteristics[edit | edit source]

Only dropped by non-robotic enemies from the Automatron DLC. Although made for robots, these armor segments have been adapted for use by humans. Functionally it's very similar to Metal armor with a tiny bit of extra ballistic protection and more energy protection in the torso and legs.

Sadly, there are no variations in appearance, even with the "Polished" (the highest) upgrade.

Base Stats[edit | edit source]

All three helmets can be used with the set interchangeably.

Modifications[edit | edit source]

This item has the following modification slots: Material, Misc. All numbers are relative to the base stats.

  • Material mods can't be swapped between arms and legs, even though they cost the same and provide the same bonuses.
  • Misc mods that are available to both arms and legs can be swapped.
  • You can find Muffled arms as loot, but this is a bug. If the Muffled mod is removed from the arms, it cannot be re-added. It also likely provides no benefit on the arms.
