Ronald Lee Ermey (March 24, 1944 – April 15, 2018) was an American actor. In Fallout Tactics, he voiced General Simon Barnaky.

Additionally, he was the inspiration for Sergeant Dornan in Fallout 2 and Sergeant RL-3 in Fallout 3.

Biography[edit | edit source]

Ermey was a former U.S. Marine Corps drill instructor and later Golden Globe-nominated actor, often portraying the roles of authority figures, such as Gunnery Sergeant Hartman in Full Metal Jacket, Mayor Tilman in Mississippi Burning, and Sheriff Hoyt in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake.

On the morning of April 15, 2018, Ermey died at a hospital in Santa Monica, California from complications related to pneumonia. He was 74 years old. On January 18, 2019, his funeral was held in Arlington National Cemetery, where his ashes are buried.
