Red Stingers or just Stingers is a gang from Quincy in 2197.
Background
After the Brotherhood of Steel had liberated Quincy of the Beastlord menace a small group of warriors were left to guard the town. The Red Stingers poisoned them and then looted the unconscious Brothers. Then they stole a Brotherhood vehicle with all their gear, including a few suits of power armor.
In Cold Water Stingers used Brotherhood equipment to exert their dominance over the local populace. To avenge the betrayal, Brotherhood sent the Warrior with his squad who killed all gang members and returned the valuable equipment.
Notes
Red Stingers are not named in game. The name of the gang can be found in the game's data files.
