Hello everyone,
It is with consternation that I post this forum and ask you, the members of this fine community, to grant me, A Follower, chat moderator rights, thus making me a full moderator.
Who am I?
Some of you here may know me, and some of you may not. I have been editing here on and off since 2011, with most of my editing coming during this year. I have been a patroller since May of this year, and I have been regularly frequenting chat since my return from hiatus.
In real life, my name is Andrew and I am an undergraduate student in University studying military and diplomatic history. Prior to entering school, I worked overseas for a private contracting company, working mostly as personal protection for several VIP's.
Why me?
Well for starters, we definitely are in need of another chat moderator, especially in the early hours of the day (GMT). My availability on most days is from 00:00 to 10:00 GMT, which is precisely the times which need moderation. Since November 12, 2013, there have been 5 instances where a temporary chat moderator has been appointed, which I have detailed below:
- November 12, 2013 @ 00:11 GMT Agent c made The Ever Ruler a chat moderator.
- November 21, 2013 @ 05:23 GMT GarouxBloodline made A Follower a chat moderator.
- November 22, 2013 @ 03:37 GMT Agent c made Paladin117 a chat moderator.
- November 23, 2013 @ 07:31 GMT GarouxBloodline made Dead Gunner a chat moderator.
- November 25, 2013 @ 04:59 GMT The Gunny made Paladin117 a chat moderator.
All of these times are within my availability. This clearly shows that we have a recent lack of moderation at these times, and I am willing to step up and take on the role if the community deems me worthy. These times in chat are becoming busier by the day, and this will hold true if the persistent Fallout 4 rumours end up being true.
I pride myself on consistent objectivity, and I believe I have demonstrated such in past votes on extra-rights and policy.
As for my contributions, I have been a patroller since May. I regularly patrol the recent changes log and make revisions and/or patrol edits, which can be seen in the patrolled edits log. My overall contributions can be seen below.

Most of my edits revolve around maintenance and re-writes. I also make a point to communicate with new users and help to guide them through learning our formatting and policies.
So how about it? If granted these rights I will use them with the utmost respect and objectivity. I sincerely appreciate everyone's time and consideration of my request.

We are in need of chat mods and I do believe you would be a good one to have. I have no complaints about your character or your ability... I think you could make a good Chatmod, however my concern is your most recent availability and presence... Could you refresh my memory as to if you were present during those temp mod events? What can you tell us about your future availability? Agent c (talk) 10:47, November 27, 2013 (UTC)
- Of the tempmod events I listed, If I recall correctly I was in chat for all of them except for Dead Gunner's, and that was because I was at the library completing a term paper. My availability in the future will be more open that it has been recently, hence the timing of this application. Right now I am available most days from 00:00 - 10:00 GMT, but that will expand to 22:00 GMT - 10:00 GMT almost immediately. Even on the odd days where I am unable to be active during that full timeframe, I will be able to be in chat at the hours where moderation seems to be needed. morituri te salutamus 16:39, November 27, 2013 (UTC)
