Can't you see?! They're all dead! It's all my fault!

Sid is an insane human in Vault 87 in Fallout 3. He is trapped in Isolation Room 03.

Background[edit | edit source]

If you were captured by Super Mutants, forced to watch as your friends were mutated into horrific bubo-filled experiments-gone-wrong, and then told you’d either be injected next or eaten, your mind would snap too. Sid reckons he has one chance—a fight to freedom. At least, he thought that before he lost the ability of rational thought.[1]

Interactions with the player character[edit | edit source]

This character is involved in quests.

Quests[edit | edit source]

  • Finding the Garden of Eden: Depending on the way the Lone Wanderer chooses to release Fawkes, Sid will attack the Lone Wanderer. If the Lone Wanderer frees Fawkes by activating the lab's emergency fire systems, this will open all the other isolation rooms, freeing both Sid and two centaurs. Although both are hostile towards the Lone Wanderer, they will also attack each other if they spot each other before spotting the Lone Wanderer, during which Sid most commonly dies. Unlocking the door via the terminal (regardless if it is his or the master one) will result in Sid being hostile towards the Lone Wanderer as well. The only way not to make to make him hostile is by picking the lock (Very Hard).

Notable quotes[edit | edit source]

  • "No! It's all over me! I can feel it... it's invading my mind"
  • "Get out of my head! Get the fuck out!"
  • "Aaaaagh!"

Appearances[edit | edit source]

Sid appears only in Fallout 3.

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

In the G.E.C.K., there are dialogue options explaining that he killed all of the people in his isolation room and was moved to another isolation room by super mutants, which will explain the isolation room with 2 dead wastelanders and a raider. While sneaking, super mutants will be talking about throwing only the strongest people into the "green goo" to make more super mutants who will destroy humans which is why Sid is locked in the isolation room - possibly with the early symptoms of transforming.
