NOTE: I am aware that I am posting this 1 day before my 2 month requirement to be eligible for Chat mod/Moderator rights. The reason for this is that I may NOT be available on March 14th, 2014 to post this. If this is a concern I am completely behind putting this forum on lock until the 14th and will have no objections. With that being said...Here's my request.
Hello my great friends of Nukapedia! It's your friendly neighborhood Gunslinger here!
As you could tell by the title of this forum (if you are not blinded by my beauty) I am asking for Chat Moderator rights. This would make me a....ummm....a Moderator....I think....
Who am I?
Well as some of you know (and for those who don't) my name is Cole. I am a 23 year-old custom car mechanic, and a collector of odd and weird things.... (o.O) I also play the Bass guitar for various bands. I first joined Nukapedia on July 15th, 2012 under a different account. Also as some of you may know, I used to be active here under the account Gunslinger470, of which I was a Patroller, until my leave in the Summer of 2013.
Why me you say?
Why not me huh?! Got some beef???
Well first off, as many of you know I am quite active in chat and I frequent a time-slot that is a somewhat moderated and somewhat not. By this I mean that while there may be a Chat mod or Admin in chat, they are not actually there (be they in bed or away at dinner, etc). I am constantly vigilant and constantly patrolling chat. If you ask a lot of fellow users I am quite polite and helpful to almost anyone who needs help, support, or a good laugh. I have crossed the border on Mini-Modding but that was only to keep chat clean and everyone happy.
Secondly, We only have about 5 SYSops who moderate chat on a regular basis. These users, while being some of the most active, go "away from keyboard" for periods of time when a Chat Mod is needed. Like said above, I keep a watchful eye on chat even when it says I am "away".
I have been appointed Chat Mod once on this account.

Here are the times I am available and regularly on Chat....
Monday - Friday: 9:00am to 2:00pm and 11:30pm to 2:00am
Saturday & Sunday: 11:00pm to 2:00am
These times are not exact and are based on the Central Time Zone.

A lot of my edits are simple and basic edits (maintenance, platform tags, the works, etc). I have done some major edits such as page creations, research and page write ups (just look at the Codex page), template instating, verifications, reverting those vandals, created the Fallout 3 Portal Slideshow, and a lot of other stuff.

Clearing up
As per the request of a few users I am including this in for others to make their decision. Anyways, a few months back I wrote a blog stating that I would be inactive for some time. As many of you know my wife is pregnant and we were having some family matters come up. Some complications and emergencies came our way and I did not know if I would be able to be here as much, hence the blog to let people know. After a few days had passed and things had gotten better on the home front I had Agent C remove the blog. If this factors into your vote I completely understand, but I would like to know in the comments if this factors in your decision.
Closing
Most of you know me and you know I will respect these rights and use them to better this Wiki and its chat as I have done with my Patroller rights.

- Resolute no. I don't have confidence in your ability to remain composed and objective when in potentially upsetting situations (many of which you will surely encounter as a chat moderator). This is also ignoring the fact that you publicly accused myself and two other users of "staging a coup" when we were trying bring some new ideas to the discussion table. - While I believe you could have the potential to fulfil these rights, the fact is we have more than enough users with chat moderator rights, with circa 30 active people with them, and I can't really see any need for more. In addition, to that 23rd February chat log you posted, that isn't really good handling of situations, and isn't the type of interaction a chat moderator should have, really. - If I had to leave for a extended period of time (ex: birth of child) and I had an idea of my extent of leave I would ask to be moved to inactive but would still be here to help. @Skire, if you look back you can see my concerns and reasons for saying it was "staging a coup" because to me, and many others, you were implementing rule that made it harder on everyone for rights. Not to mention that you guys were pushing for a rights revocation on Clyde which was unnecessary. As for the "someone who doesn't understand that concept has no place in holding extra user rights" part of your vote, if it was such a big deal why was I still allowed Patroller rights. I, and many others, did not "assume good faith" with these new implements to the wiki and rather objected to them. So, to me, my reasons for saying you all were staging a "Coup d'état" should be considered just due to the nature of certain request flying around. I'm not going to try and sway your vote or even rationalize my reasoning, but I am going to ask you to see past that incident for 2 main reasons... a.) The incident had nothing to do with Chat or C/Mod rights & b.) When you posted that forum you also had or were going to invoke Reconfirmation on a user who did no wrong, but rather, was note here as much as everyone else. If you see any hostility from me in this message then tell me because I am far from hostile to anyone, but I would rather explain my reasoning in a orderly manner.
- The idea of a "coup d'etat" being carried out on the wiki is simply farcical. Plus, that forum was something that 69.l25 believed to be worthy of discussion, and it had little, if anything, to do with the pending motion we had regarding Clyde (which the community firmly rejected). Furthermore, you disagreeing with said motion does not justify interpreting it as an act of bad faith. I am still incredibly nonplussed as to how you could interpret such actions as staging a "coup." Also, I think we both understand that patroller rights are nothing like chat moderator rights. The former is an editing facilitator with no real power at all, while the latter provides you the ability to discipline users with unruly behaviour in the chat. As such, I do not believe you are at all ready as of now to receive these extra rights (not to mention the request does feel a little hurried to me). @OfficialLolGuy, You say we have more than enough users who have Chat mod rights and I could not agree more. However, most them are almost never available when I am and when I am usually in Chat around midnight to 4a.m. (Central Standard) and even though it may seem dead, it's not. A picture above shows spam with no one "at the ready" to get it.If i had chat mod rights it would have been dealt with.

- On the topic of needing chat mods, this was something I thought about too; and I think that image really works against you because you've got only one example for the past few months; if there really were a problem, surely you'd have more, right? But assuming you took that image to document an incident, then do you have other pictures as well? We had a good talk in private chat not long ago, and I think we took advantage of that short time well in gaining a bit of mutual trust between ourselves, which is why I am voting neutral instead of no. Because at the end of the day, I do trust that you will use your special rights properly in keeping the chat-room clean. However, there are three issues I have seen from you that I find myself being forced to focus upon before I can draw from my trust in your abilities and vote yes:
-The first issue, I found no offense in, while with the second incident, I did find myself fairly annoyed with the whole deal at the time. Respectively, I am speaking of two occurrences of blind anger from you in which you began randomly swinging at other users before you ended up being blocked from the wiki, and then when you had such an issue with certain forums, that you got it in your head that there was a conspiracy going on, and took it so far as to spread this conspiracy theory in chat (we were fortunate this never bled out in the forums themselves). I have already forgiven and locked this all up in the vault - the attacks against me are not the problem. The problem is that you are prone to outbursts of irrational anger that manifests itself in the attack of multiple other users. And it is this irrational anger that is the problem, because if you want to be seen as a leader of any sort, irrational behaviour of any sort will be your downfall, and possible the downfall of others as well.
-Quite a few people from Nukapedia still speak to me on Skype about Nukapedia, even though I left. One of the concerns I heard about a week back is that for quite some time now, you have been attempting to convince the Bureaucrats to give Theo his rights back. It is not the act itself that concerns me, as Theo has been frequenting Nukapedia again for a long time, and there is no doubt that he is a great asset to the wiki. What concerns me is the frequency in which you speak of it, which leads me to the belief that you obsess a bit over matters - in the case, I am also sensing an inability to avoid favouritism in other users, which is something you cannot do as a chat moderator (we have already had way too many chat moderators that have played favourites in the past).
-Tl;dr? I trust in your abilities to help keep the chat clean, but I am sensing problems with your bouts of irrational behaviour. Keep in mind that this is not an attack on your character, as generally I do like you and I can tell you are the responsible sort. Just consider this an observation that I hope you can reflect on, and either grow with it if you find yourself agreeing, or just as a bit of criticism to take into account if you find yourself neutral or not agreeing. Either way, I wish you luck with your request.

- Well, to elaborate, I was never told that you were bugging the Bureaucrats specifically, nor that you were begging. Was just told that you have brought it up on multiple occasions randomly. If this is false, let me know and I will amend my comment. However, that was not my main concern. The main reason why I am on the bench is because of your irrational bouts of anger that led to you even being banned on one occasion.

@Leon, I have only said that Theo should have rights maybe 3 to 4 times max in a span of 2 weeks. As for the banning incident nearly a year ago, I will admit my mistake in how I took that but for the record (so people don't confuse the situation) I was banned as an anon after the disabling of my account Gunslinger470 over a few chat incidents that could have been handled better on my side and other the opposing side. A user was being taunted and mistreated and when I stuck up for said user I got the same treatment. I was in outrage and yes took to a forum to solve my problem where I did call names but since my return I have not been banned, been rather helpful all the way around Nukapedia, and if you ask users who regularly visit chat, I am rather helpful, nice, easy to get along with, and do not have random anger spouts in public chat. I have kept my composure like in the chat log above (and the others to come if I get my computer back) and you can ask users that I have not gone off in chat.
