Perkins received an MBA from the Wharton School of Business prior to joining Electronic Arts. While at EA, he worked on many computer and videogame franchises, including SimCity, The Sims, James Bond, Black & White and Battlefield. His most recent responsibilities included overseeing the marketing for the upcoming releases of Batman Begins for the console and Battlefield 2 for the PC.
On June 13, 2005, Steve Perkins was appointed Director of Marketing at Mythic Entertainment. On July 24, 2006, he rejoined Electronic Arts after their acquisition of Mythic. He was responsible for the marketing of Dark Age of Camelot, Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, and Ultima Online.
