Well, just above us is a deathclaw research facility. Most of the deathclaws are out fighting, but there might be one or two left. There are also a bunch of robots in the facility, and they're all controlled through the mainframe. There are also some military types left but not nearly as many as there used to be.

Stiggs is a repairman specializing in robotics, located at Adams Air Force Base in the year 2277.

Background[]

A wastelander by birth, the Enclave found Stiggs in malnourished condition and brought him back to health from a severe bout of radiation poisoning. He was then put to work maintaining and creating the latest in flamethrower technologies for the Enclave, but he is troubled by these accomplishments.[Non-game 1]

Quests[]

  • Who Dares Wins: Stiggs approaches the Lone Wanderer on the lower level of the mobile platform and asks them if they are going to hurt him. If he is allowed to live, he can provide some information about the crawler. With the Robotics Expert perk, the Lone Wanderer can speculate what system the mainframe uses. Stiggs will compliment them as finally being someone who understands what he is talking about, and says they would be able to reprogram the robotic and turret systems inside the base so that they will target the Enclave.

Effects of player's actions[]

  • If Stiggs is left alive, he will escape the crawler and travel to the Adams storage facility with his sentry bot, Sparky, and his Mister Gutsy, Hoover. After the completion of Who Dares Wins, they will all disappear from the game.
  • If he is followed into the Adams storage facility and the automated turret is still active, Stiggs and his two robots will become hostile.
  • Stiggs and his robots will become hostile if they spot the Enclave attacking the Lone Wanderer.
  • Stiggs and the two robots may vanish if the Lone Wanderer leaves the crawler before they have all left, and they may all "get stuck" on equipment in the Adams storage facility.
