Sugar Bombs is a type of breakfast cereal found in Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, Fallout 4, and Fallout 76.

Marketed as having explosive great taste, the Sugar Bombs contain no explosives, but an overabundance of sugar frosting on each of the uniquely shaped wheat cereals, resembling the mini nuke. Served with milk, it made for a breakfast full of carbohydrates and little else. It was marketed at children, with added promotions to increase sales, such as Captain Cosmos decoder rings. Interestingly, the ingredients used in the bombs make them an ingredient for manufacturing high end drugs[1] and a tool for sabotage, as they can cause violent explosions when introduced to rocket fuel mixes.[2]

  • Irr. Sugar Bombs have been exposed to high levels of radiation at Camp Searchlight.
  • Preserved Sugar Bombs have no radiation exposure risk, and doubled health restoration.

Behind the scenes

  • The name is a play on an idiom referring to items with a sweet taste and high energy load, but little meaningful nutrition, such as sugery cereals.

Chris Haversam: "Then bring me Sugar Bombs. Three boxes should do the trick. Add those to the fuel mixture and "Boom!" Come to think of it, sabotage is a great idea. I'll show those rotten ghouls! And they'll know exactly who did them in!"
