Background[edit | edit source]
Glasses are frames bearing lenses, worn in front of the eyes either for vision correction or eye protection from light. Most are otherwise purely cosmetic, but some provide bonuses to players.
Variants[edit | edit source]
Authority glasses[edit | edit source]
Large reflective glasses that are synonymous with NCR Rangers.
Eyeglasses[edit | edit source]
Produced by Sunco, these eyeglasses have rounded square, black frames. Sunco brand eyeglasses are used to correct vision problems people may have.
Fashionable glasses[edit | edit source]
These accessories were the peak of fashion before the Great War, featuring bright, white rims and dark round lenses.
Reading glasses[edit | edit source]
Reading glasses are classic fabricated glasses for those who suffer from presobyopia, a condition that comes with age and makes focusing on near objects, specifically text, more difficult. From the ancient Greek, meaning "old eyes" or "elder eyes".
Child reading glasses[edit | edit source]
Child reading glasses are the children's version of reading glasses. When worn by adults, they are much larger and will hover in front of the wearer's forehead.
Patrolman sunglasses[edit | edit source]
These sunglasses have reflective lenses to block out sunlight; they were used extensively by highway patrol and police officers before the War.
Sunglasses[edit | edit source]
Slightly shaded glasses to protect the eyes from the sun.
Tinted reading glasses[edit | edit source]
Tinted reading glasses are similar to regular reading glasses, but have dark tinted lenses.
Tortiseshell glasses[edit | edit source]
Protoglo tortiseshell glasses are dark, tinted spectacles made from a brownish orange flecked plastic. They are rather difficult to find.
Lucky shades[edit | edit source]
Cosmetically identical to sunglasses, these shades add to ones Luck.
Cryptochromatic spectacles[edit | edit source]
Special eye wear developed by the Chinese to decipher hidden encrypted messages like the sequence needed in order to gain access to the Chinese intelligence bunker.
Desmond's eyeglasses[edit | edit source]
Dr. Klein's glasses[edit | edit source]
Dr. Li's glasses[edit | edit source]
