Simply putting it, it is incorrect at the time of typing. It is the same as the Atomizer. Remove this linewhen corrected. --Radnus 81.205.186.16 16:35, 3 August 2009 (UTC)

Physical impossibility?[]

I know the majority of the ship becomes off-limits when MZ is completed, so is it impossible to obtain this (or any of the unique alien weapons) after MZ has been completed?

Only via console commands. ~ HAZMAT82 04:50, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

Absolutely Devastating for V.A.T.S Users[]

For those who invest in V.A.T.S, using high agility, action boy/girl, Ledoux's Hockey mask. This thing can do about 12 shots in VATS, I did 9 shots with a EW skill of about 60, and a 15% crit, and killed a feral ghoul reaver with 9 headshots, completely eliminating one of the hardest enemies as a threat. --MeanOlBob 22:43, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

And the zero spread allow you to have an 95% hit chance even if the enemy is just in sight. And it also seems the projectile can pass through any annoying railing that even a Lincoln have trouble to avoid Scarvet 12:56, 19 August 2009 (UTC)

Kill Behemoth with one round of VATS[]

With 144 AP, Better Criticals, Xenotech Expert, 100 Energy Weapons, a shot of Psycho, and an 18% critical chance, this weapon can take out a Behemoth. Here's how:

44 damage per shot

72 damage per critical hit (48 * 1.5)

51% crit chance per shot (18 * 2 + 15)

So, on average, each shot deals 80.72 damage (44 + .51 * 72)

With a headshot, that damage is doubled, resulting in 161.44 damage per shot.

12 shots per round of VATS

12 * 161.44 = 1937.28 damage

1937.28 * 1.25 = 2421.6 damage

A Super mutant behemoth has 2000 health

Enjoy!

EDIT: With Superior Defender and Ghoul Ecology ( +10 damage per shot ), one round of VATS will deal about 2177.28 damage, negating the need for a shot of Psycho. 68.192.9.90 01:04, November 10, 2009 (UTC)

You messed up on your damage calculations. The gun would do 62.6 on Average: 44(.49) + 72(.51) =62.6. Insincerity 04:00, January 17, 2010 (UTC)

according to the page on AP, you can get a maximum of 270 AP by consuming AP increasing chems and what-not, and by my calculations, that would give you a devastating 22 shots per vatsKatikar 19:43, August 30, 2010 (UTC)

44.4 damage per shot

84.4 crit damage (acording to the article, which states an aditional 40 damage)

51% crit chance

I come out to 64.604, or 87.044 damage (again, basing there equations with my numbers, depending on whos equation is the correct one)

headshot is doubled 129.208 or 174.088

22 shots per round of VATS

22 * 129.208= 2842 damage

or

22 * 174.088= 3829 damage

and with psycho and superior defender

2842 * 1.25=3552

(superior defender and ghoul Ecology)

3552 * 1.1=3907 damage

OR

3829 * 1.25=4786

4786 * 1.1=5264

In other words, this will really ruin the day of anything, and i mean ANYTHING that so much as looks at you funny Katikar 19:10, August 31, 2010 (UTC)

Atomic Pulverizer vs MPLX Novasurge[]

With the common DPS perks: Outside of VATs, the Novasurge does more damage per hit (~89%) but DPS is comparable especially if you consider the Novasurge requires more frequent reloads. Inside of VATs, Novasurge does more damage per AP (~8%), but may do less damage per action bar depending on your AP (With 145 AP using Lag bolt's, the Pulverizer does ~6% more total damage if you blow your bar).

The Pulverizer has the extremely nice advantage of a 0 spread and hitscan. The Novasurge is easier to get ammo for and easier to repair. Novasurge does considerably more damage on a sneak attack critical. The Pulverizer has ~66% more health and thus degrades much slower.

Both weapons are very close to each other in terms of effectiveness. The Novasurge does more damage per hit, the Pulverizer costs much less AP and has the better firing type. The Novasurge is probably easier to upkeep unless you like going back to MZeta to get more ammo. If I had to pick one, I'd say the Pulverizer is the superior assault weapon, but I use the Novasurge because MZeta is a pain.--Ocdscale 01:17, October 30, 2009 (UTC)

Aha! With Concentrated Fire, the pulverizer outclasses the novasurge at long range. 98.249.221.165 03:41, November 7, 2009 (UTC)

Damage comparison:

Assuming 18% Critical Chance, 100 Energy Weapons and Weapon Condition, Better Criticals

Pulverizer:

  • 69.92 damage per shot (outside of VATS)
  • 0 Spread
  • 12 AP (Maximum of 12 shots with 148 base AP)
  • Deals 1937.28 damage with one round of VATS (148 AP)
  • 20 round magazine (or is it clip?)

Novasurge:

  • 140.75 damage per shot (outside of VATS)
  • 0.5 Spread
  • 21 AP (Maximum of 7 shots with 148 base AP)
  • Deals 1103.375 damage with one round of VATS (148 AP)
  • 8 round magazine
Overall, I prefer the Pulverizer (IMO of course) but the Novasurge is still a deadly weapon indeed. I'd say these two are really close in terms of overall effectiveness. 68.192.9.90 01:23, November 10, 2009 (UTC)

Disappearing[]

I found that my Atomic Pulverizer disappeared from my megaton house. Has anyone else experienced this? Ze5ro1 16:37, March 5, 2010 (UTC)
