This is said to be giving +10 DR and +1 END, which is the correct one?
- The +5 DR one. The other one is given in the official guide but is based on an earlier build of the game - the perk was changed in the final version and the guide was not corrected. Ausir 13:07, 5 November 2008 (UTC)`

It is possible to change the perk back to +10DR & +1EN with a mod. Worth to be mentioned/linked? (Mod found here: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=273). --126.96.36.199 11:08, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
- Probably not, since practically anything can be changed by mods. There would be more on the wiki about mods than about the actual game.Omnilynx 06:35, October 20, 2010 (UTC)
This may be the best reward in the long run, as it will bring you one step closer to making that Youtube video where you shoot a mini nuke at yourself and live, but if you want immiediate satisfaction, you should side with Birch or Laurel. For big guns characters, or characters that dump all their points into agility, side with Birch, as you will be rewarded with a missile launcher and " maples garb" If you are a sneaky character or if you love really powerful armor, side with Laurel, as her followers will reward you with an Oasis Druid hood and Lindens outcast power armor, which is probably one of the best armors the casual gamer will find, apart from the T-51b power armor. If you are a master conversationalist, side with anyone, but do not burn down or kill Harald, as Sapling Yew will give you a special bear charm that instantly raises your speech skill by ten as long as it is in your inventory.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.8.131.52 (talk • contribs). Yew Bear's charm doesn't need to be in your inventory, the speech bonus is permenant so you can just drop it as soon as she gives you it.--184.108.40.206 20:56, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
Doesn't it seem odd that the best stealth headgear and the best stealth armor (minus the Chinese Stealth Armor) are separate rewards? You'd think they'd go together, and Barkskin would go with Linden's armor, but nooooo, that would make too much sense... 220.127.116.11 21:07, October 22, 2009 (UTC)
- It doesn't seem odd at all, and the way Bethesda did it makes more sense. If one choice resulted in two Stealth rewards and no Fighter rewards, then that choice would swiftly become The Only Practical Choice For A Sneaker and A Rotten Choice For A Fighter, just as a combination of Linden's Power Armor with Barkskin would become The Only Practical Choice For A Fighter and A Silly Choice For A Sneaker. Bethesda's choice to balance out the rewards in the way they have done means the choice boils down to actual ethics: which choice is best on its ethics, not which choice is most profitable to your type of character. Or in other words, not a "choice" between a pile of money and a kick in the kidneys. --Webgiant 17:46, August 29, 2010 (UTC)
I am pretty sure it's actually only +3 DR, despite what the perk says. 18.104.22.168 16:51, November 22, 2009 (UTC)VD101
From memory I believe you are right on 3 DR - this is probably worked out via 3% of Max DR of 90 (85 at the time I was playing and had this perk) and rounding as opposed to 5% of 100 DR (unobtainable). 22.214.171.124 19:25, November 23, 2009 (UTC)
Well, you're obviously experiencing a bug, as it has always worked fine for me and has been 5 in all my files. Blutteufel 13:41, September 28, 2010 (UTC)
