Reminder[]

The original write up of this page tried very hard to avoid mentioning that Danse is a synth and it left the summary very haphazard and confusing. Just like with the Danse page, I'd like to remind future editors to keep in mind that a wiki is an information resource, not a spoiler-free game guide. Please do not omit or write out relevant information from the page.

Well, it is also a possibility this has been written directly from the Prima guide, considering we had such occurences. ☢ Energy X ☣ 18:48, November 29, 2015 (UTC)
I'd like to remind editors that this is a talk page, and as such, an avenue for discussion about an article. In order to facilitate replies, one should always use the "Add Topic" button, or at least, add a heading to their post. Failing to do so, requires editing the entire page to reply - which can be cumbersome if there are multiple topics on said page. Furthermore, I'd also like to remind editors, considering this is a talk page, that all posts should be signed by using four tildes (~~~~). The original point is understood, and agreed; however, if one chooses to lecture others, one should take care to set a good example for others as well. Glitch with the Listening Post elevator[]

Whenever I enter the elevator at the listening post to confront Danse, the elevator doesn't move, and it doesn't let me exit. I've tried reloading earlier saves, using the elevator with and without power armor, fiddling with the terminal, fast-traveling elsewhere and coming back, and nothing seems to work. Has anyone else had this glitch? If so, this should really be listed in the article. Montybrady (talk) 00:12, April 26, 2016 (UTC)

Have done this mission several times, and never had an issue, although I did encounter a similar glitch in Ticonderoga. Have you tried making a save just before entering the elevator, shutting down and restarting the game, then reloading the save? Last I checked, there was definitely a bug where placed mines don't reload correctly when reloading a save from the same cell you're currently in, so there may well be issues with save reloading in other cases as well. Restarting the game resolved the Ticonderoga problem for me. Aya42 (talk) 17:04, April 26, 2016 (UTC)
The place is apparently a locus of issues, and I'd have to recommend quicksaving every few minutes. My game has been relatively bug-free, but Danse teleports up from outside the elevator instead of boarding, and the first attempt had my game quietly CTD on taking the elevator up to the surface after convincing Danse to stay. The only change between attempts 1 and 2 are a slightly different speech progression to the same result, and I had not killed the external turret in the first attempt (sprinted into the building coming off FT). --50.142.225.205 11:24, May 4, 2016 (UTC)

Failure[]

Is it worth mentioning that failing this quest (by whatever means) seems to lock Danse out of following the Sole Survivor again? I can't remember exactly what I did to fail the quest (aside from neglecting to report to Elder Maxson and instead progressing with the Minutemen), but it might be worth noting. --The Crimson Eagle (talk) 16:17, April 28, 2016 (UTC)
