Does anyone know what exactly the 'Flying Liver Attack' mentioned by Seymour the sporeplant, is? Is it something so obvious that I'm overlooking it or isn't really explained in the game?

Know your geography, kids

Broken Hills is not located in NorCal. Broken Hills is east of Reno, and thus in Nevada. That's right, Nevada. Why people insist it's in California? Because people think that Fallout 2 is only set in California and it's not true. A large part of the game is set in Nevada (New Reno, Broken Hills, Gecko, Vault City).

Well, its because the in game location map is North California. A few tips: sign your posts, even if you are an anon; do not engage in editing wars (keep changing something back after your post was reverted); and don't condescend people, its rather impolite. Actually, he is right, it is in Nevada. Fallout 2's map covers not only California but also parts of Nevada and Oregon. Reno is located on the western edge of Nevada, and Broken Hills is indeed east of New Reno. Ausir(talk) 15:12, February 8, 2010 (UTC)
How do we reconcile this with the Northern California article? Ishotamaninnewreno 22:56, February 8, 2010 (UTC)
Easy. There are no state lines left, so anything not in South California is in North California. The desert stretches forever, so people will associate the desert with the nearest pocket of civilization. In this case, North California and NCR. And NCR is looking to enclose New Reno, so it's possible that Broken Hills is already in an NCR state. Nitty Tok. 23:01, February 8, 2010 (UTC)
So shouldn't we be listing the FO game regions rather than non-existent states as the locations of settlements? As you say, there is no Nevada any more. Saying Broken Hills is in Nevada is like saying Tehran is in Persia. I suggest this be changed to "Broken Hills is located in the North Californian region" with the option of adding "in territory previously within Nevada state lines." What do you think? The mention of Broken Hills "North California" in the holodisk is likely a mistake. None of the old states exist anymore. I changed it to "in the western part of the pre-War state of Nevada". Ausir(talk) 05:35, February 9, 2010 (UTC)
Sounds good, although wasn't the reference to North California in dialogue in FO2? I can't remember who, but I'm pretty sure someone asked if the character has the Northern California map loaded onto their PIPboy. Ah it doesn't matter anyway, we've got some clarity which is the important thing. Thanks mate, Ishotamaninnewreno 05:50, February 9, 2010 (UTC)
