cool guys

Cool guys don't look at explosions. They blow shit up and they walk away! Mr White 16:51, July 21, 2010 (UTC)

Fair enough. RogierWV 06:56, September 30, 2010 (UTC)

Remote Control Shady Sands Shuffle?

It'll be interesting to see if this stuff explodes on its own when reverse-pickpocketed, or if it goes off based on the use of the detonator. Kris (talk) 16:56, July 21, 2010 (UTC)

It detonates by remote, even when reverse-pickpocketed. Saw it on an IGN playthrough, and it was sweet. 22:39, August 14, 2010 (UTC)

The Fallout universe already has plastic explosives, and this is especially reinforced in the west coast area, where Cordex was the gold standard. I think the name of this page should be changed to "Cordex (Fallout: New Vegas)", or merged. TJbrena 23:49, October 13, 2010 (UTC)

House 199 C4 Clarification

It should be noted on which exact quest this occurs in if it does occur at all. Any talk related information would also be good. -- 22:09, October 24, 2010 (UTC)

Went ahead and removed that part, no evidence was found of such an occurrence in the official Prima guide. --Zebon 22:26, October 25, 2010 (UTC)

"Unlike Hand held explosives like the Frag Grenade or Dynamite, C4 causes a huge explosion and is not to be detonated in close range of the explosive. It is possible to set up an ambush with C4. Assuming your enemy will still be alive when the C-4 explodes. Reverse pickpocketing plastic explosives into someone's pants will arm it and leave it in their pants."

This doesn't make it.

With reference to the "assuming your enemy...", this paragraph reads like a list of statements rather than an article, and I think something has been deleted that the aforementioned line refers to. 00:09, November 5, 2010 (UTC)

Hope it's better now. Durty Willy 04:14, November 5, 2010 (UTC)

Armor vs. reverse pickpocketing

If you plant a bomb in someone's pants, do you negate the armor?Durty Willy 04:16, November 5, 2010 (UTC)

  • Just answered my own question: Jean-Baptiste and his sister both survived 3 x C-4 charges dropped in front of them (and continued to be dangerous), but they each were blown to smithereens when I pants-pocketed one C-4 charge on each. Durty Willy 04:38, November 5, 2010 (UTC)

Further clarification, all explosives that are reverse-pickpocketable will cause instant death when they detonate in an NPC's inventory Twist3dPr0phet 20:13, November 12, 2010 (UTC)

No they won't, against moderate hp npcs they will but stronger enemies are not killed by it. Mictlantecuhtli 09:50, November 14, 2010 (UTC)
Reverse-pickpocketed explosives always cause death - even a Pulse Grenade in the pocket of a Super Mutant Overlord in Fallout 3. If something has changed for New Vegas from Fallout 3, I'm not aware of it. --Kris User Hola.jpg 12:00, November 14, 2010 (UTC)
In Fallout 3 a frag grenade would not kill an overlord when reverse pickpocketed, it took at least 2 of them. Mictlantecuhtli 12:34, November 14, 2010 (UTC)

WHen you use the shady sands shuffle in fallout 3 it instantly kills the enemy. I tried it hacked into a suer mutant behemoth and he still died. -M

Maybe on PC but not on the Xbox 360. Mictlantecuhtli 13:16, November 14, 2010 (UTC)

I've pulsed Overlords and fragged a Behemoth, the Shady Sands Shuffle is a certain kill. TJbrena 16:40, December 13, 2010 (UTC)

Demolition Expert

I checked in the G.E.C.K., and the C-4 is not present in demolition expert form list, so it doesn't gets any bonus from that perk, kinda odd if you ask me since every other grenade/mine is in the list, even the holy frag grenade. 03:22, December 12, 2010 (UTC)

Human shield sorta works.

I tried shutting the doors, but boone blocked the flame from entering the terminal room. When he got up, all he said was, "figures..." 06:00, January 14, 2011 (UTC)

The Strip

If i put the c4 on rangers, gamblers, or hookers and kill them will the robo's start attacking? i tried sneak attack with silenced rifles and they just start attacking even if i was hidden when i shot, note: never have a companion around they attack straight up, but hey i guess if they kill the robos no infamy for you? not so sure-- 03:34, January 16, 2011 (UTC)

C-4 Freezes Game

Bug (PS3): When trying to reverse pick pocket C-4 (or any other kind of explosive or grenade) ... as soon as I attempt to trigger the detonator ... the game freezes. Solution: Followers may cause bug. I found if I dismiss followers after reverse pick pocketing C-4 then bug clears, i proceed and blow NPC up ... I can then rehire followers and bug does not seem to recure. Hope this helps.

Blast off glitch?

I've seen a few videos in Youtube where a load of C-4 is placed at the foot of a companion and when you blow it up, they launch ridiculously high in the sky, then get up like nothing happened. Not sure if that's worth mentioning on the main article, but it's hilarious to watch. Now, if only Jason Bright had figured that one out... :) 22:44, March 8, 2011 (UTC)Kaz

I know I'm responding a few months late, but I think the companion spends so long in the air that they actually recover from being unconcious before they hit the floor. --Wiseman of the Wastes 22:07, July 19, 2011 (UTC)

Bottlecap mine retextre?

Is it just me or does it look like a bottle cap mine with a different texture?

Sure looks like that. Eskxhi 05:29, May 20, 2011 (UTC)

Retextured c4???

Now that you mention it the thing does seems like s retextured bottle cap mine, the most obvious places of similarity being the box handle and the sensor module. Could it be possible?--Zig338 17:00, April 16, 2011 (UTC) Zig338

Oh definitely. Bethesda and Obsidian are famous for reusing both textures and models, so I wouldn't put it past them to reuse the Bottlecap mine model and re texture it. Best regards, Kastera (talk) 17:11, April 16, 2011 (UTC)

Explodes when shot.

I thought that C4 was supposed to be stable and not explode when shot. Or am I missing something here?GTA1122 21:47, April 28, 2011 (UTC)

It probably does that because of the nature of placing explosives in this game. While you are correct, sometimes you get C4 before you first obtain a detonator, so you have to shoot it for it to explode. --Delta1138 SnooPING AS usual I see 17:16, June 1, 2011 (UTC)

Body Blow Up

You can reverse pickpocket multiple c4 on an enemy to increase the blast radius. I did this to the caeser's legion engineer/spy at hoover damn. After experimenting, i also found that if you kill the person before detonating the c4, then you can still detonate it on their dead body. This is very comical as I brought the body and placed it directly in front of an ncr trooper (the body had about 18 units of c4 inside). I backed up, detonated and watched their bodies FLY off in separate directions. Very funny!! (Note that even though you can detonate the c4 after you kill the person, you still cannot recover it from their corpse if it was reverse pickpocketed) -Castor Savage- 21:24, July 2, 2011 (UTC)

what happens when the body is in multiple pieces through something like Bloody mess? does each body part become explosive? 02:09, July 14, 2011 (UTC)
I don't know, I don't have bloody mess because I don't think it makes kills very realistic... worth a try though!-Castor Savage- 18:40, July 19, 2011 (UTC)

ANONS Y U SO GENIUS? --Delta1138 SnooPING AS usual I see 19:44, September 20, 2011 (UTC)
