I don't know how to add this (or where), but when finishing this quest and you're asked to join the brotherhood he mentions something along the lines of "you mentioned before that you wanted to join" which I never did. I just found it odd and thought I'd mention it for someone else to add whos more familiar with how this wiki does things Veilor (talk) 23:28, November 15, 2015 (UTC)

Helmet?[]

The first time I did this quest, right before leaving the station to go to Arcjet Systems, Danse put on his helmet in a neat little animation. The second and third times, he did not. Is he supposed to not wear a helmet at all or is it the other way around? I know it's not a big deal, but it really bugs me for some reason. --190.234.212.176 22:54, December 16, 2015 (UTC)

He always plays this animation for me, flipping his helmet in the air then putting it on. He then wears the helmet for the remainder of the mission, and when you meet him again in Cambridge Police Station he is no longer wearing it. --Tom Quantum (talk) 20:02, January 27, 2016 (UTC)

Couple of Problems[]

"After you restore auxiliary power to engine core you can hold off indefinitely helping Danse with the synths." This bullet point is wrong, at least on PC. They definitely stopped spawning after I killed the first couple of waves.

"If this quest is not completed before Reunions and The Prydwen shows up, it will trigger a glitch that not all Brotherhood Vertibirds and patrols will spawn correctly, making it rare the apparition of them." Do we have any confirmation of this?

Also, confirming that this just happened in my playthrough: "After Paladin Danse notes that there are turrets up ahead, he might turn around and head back in the direction you came, eventually coming to a stop and not moving at all. To get the quest to progress, destroy the turrets, and Danse will resume heading in the direction he is supposed to."

Killing Synths Counts as Murder[]

Just an fyi, on my PC run through this quest, killing some of the synths in the area where the transmitter is found counts as murder. I didn't test to see if the specific enemies had fired on me before killing them, however. Allowing Danse to mop up doesn't count as murder, however.

The murder and assault tallies under Stats > Crime are dubious to say the least, and they were in Skyrim as well. --Tom Quantum (talk) 20:06, January 27, 2016 (UTC)

Can confirm, on the PC version of the game, attacking the synth carrying the quest target counts as "murder". Allowing Danse to kill it does not increase the counter. --JediaKyrol (talk) 05:58, April 18, 2016 (UTC)

Glitch Verified?[]

There's a glitch reported with vertibirds/patrols on this article, and the other BoS quests before it, but is it actually verified? It seems pretty major - messing up all BoS patrols etc for the rest of the game, and for all I know that could break other quests But the flipside is forcing you to do about 3-4 BoS quests just so the glitch doesn't trigger.

As I've only read about it here, I'm interested if it's been properly verified by multiple people. Thanks.

Infinite fusion cell ammo[]

If you are with Paladin Danse and you are doing the misison Call to Arms, before clicking on the red button to activate the reactor that ignite the room, there are infinite synth spawning and falling from the top. They will fight against Paladin Danse (essential), he will eventually fall and his health will be replenished after some seconds. You are safe after the blinded door. in this way you can obtain almost infinite fusion cell from all the corpses of dead synth You just have to wait (preferable to use bAlwaysActive=1, in that way isn't that boring :D )

I tried this a few times. I waited and the synth waves ended, then I was prompted to speak to Danse. JMA4269 (talk) 23:12, April 19, 2016 (UTC)
Did you stay behind the glass or did you leave the room, in the hallway or near the reactor to shoot the synth? In my experience if I stay behind the glass the synth keep spawning non stop (yesterday i left the game open for like 1 hour) but haven't tried that yet. EDIT: i think after all there is a limit. All the corpses turn into ashes and you can't actually loot them all because they overlap each other. Anyway +3000 fusion cell

Runaway Danse?[]

On my latest playthru on PC Danse ran away right after arriving at ArcJet. He walked up to the front door, paused, then ran off. I followed him and he stopped at Graygarden. Then I spoke with him as expected and off we went back to ArcJet like it was all according to plan. :P ElvisDumbledore - eschew obfuscation 22:45, May 4, 2016 (UTC)

In my testing, the bug with Danse turning around upon reaching ArcJet is related to the Fire Support bug where the ghoul fight doesn't always start/end properly. Specifically, there is a hidden quest related to Fire Support which marks the status of the fight. If this doesn't end properly, Danse is stuck wanting to return to the fight even if it appears all the ghouls are dead. Maybe there's a ghoul stuck in the ground or a wall or something. At any rate, the easiest way to ensure Danse doesn't run away during this quest is to set a debug stage which will mark that fight complete: setstage BoS100Fight 1 or setstage BoS100Fight 2 (there's a slight difference in setting a stage for Fire Support, but it shouldn't matter since that quest should be complete at this point). -- DeJuanNOnley (talk) 11:05, February 22, 2017 (UTC)

Cannot continue BOS quest lines without joining BOS[]

I'm not sure if it is related to the alleged patrol-bug but I declined to join the brotherhood and now I cannot do anything that requires talking to Danse - he asks whether I want to join, then I decline, then the same loop again. The quests "Shadow of Steel" and "Semper Invicta" are both available in my quest log but they both require me to talk to Danse/see him walk to the roof and he's just standing there in the police station lobby, asking me if I want to join the brotherhood.

I am going to save, accept, then see if that breaks him out of the loop.

AAnd done: It breaks him out of the loop. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.44.134.84 (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

You know how ashpiles cause problems for your games? Do the ashpiles caused by Danse at the Police Station despawn or are they stuck there?

Post Reunions Bug[]

"not all Brotherhood Vertibirds and patrols will spawn correctly" ...? What does that mean exactly? Any examples? Noobyorkcity (talk) 01:52, 25 June 2022 (UTC)
