I've been here before.[]

One of Cross's frequent coments is "I remember this area", thing is she seems to say it in the oddest places, like vaults that have been abandoned for hundreds of years. A case of bad scripting or past life memmories ?

I think that's similar to how Butch will complain about how bright it is, even when it's nighttime. The people at Bethesda simply couldn't make the lines specific to certain times or places.

They simply just never got around to attaching that dialogue to specific events. Amusingly, she said that for me, just as I was picking up the T-51b power armor from the Fort Constantine bunker. Yes, because the Brotherhood of Steel - the group whose entire mission is scavenging the most advanced pre-war tech they can get their hands on, would've walked into that bunker, and left a perfect condition set of T-51b just sitting there. Seems Legit. Digital Utopia (talk) 13:09, June 24, 2014 (UTC)

Karma[]

When the article says "she will leave if your karma drops down too far for her liking," what is that karma level? Evil? Very Evil? -453 karma? what is it exactly?

its very evil, could someone confirm this?

What's with the pic?[]

The pic in the article is NOT of Paladin Cross. Paladin Cross is a white girl, not a black dude. 75.6.176.251 01:26, 2 December 2008 (UTC)

Star Paladin Cross is a black girl, not a white girl? The picture's correct as of now, anyways. Perhaps you have a mod running? 74.14.118.127 16:46, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
I think she changes, like your father. Though what it's based on, or if it's just random, I don't know. All I know is in my games she's always been a white, blonde girl. Ben506 22:22, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
Dude, you're thinking of Sentinel Lyons.

After dropping some live bottlecap mines in a couple Brotherhood Paladins and looting red ammo boxes and such she opened fire on me, rather than just returning to the citadel. Eshru 12:09, 7 November 2008 (UTC)

In the middle of a fight she lost the minigun that I gave to her. Then when I switched to Fawkes he lost the laser gatling gun that I gave to him after i left him alone for awhile. What gives? this game is too buggy... They Probably had them shot from their hands. Strike Reyhi 07:46, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

They do get the weapons shot out of their hands. Its not a good idea to give them named / unique weapons.

I dont know anything about wiki-editing, but right now i have star paladin cross, rl-3, and dogmeat in my party. I assume this is a glitch. I got rl-3 first, then dogmeat, and had good karma the first time i met cross and she joined me.

You're using the original release of the game, I'd assume. Glitch. --DarkJeff 05:37, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

"Regardless of the number of followers?"[]

In what way is this statement true? I had Charon as a companion and asked Star Paladin to follow me. She refused (even the first time I asked her), "given my current companionionship." I assume she will not "travel with [me] under the brotherhood flag" given that Charon is a Ghoul. So this is much like her refusal with Fawkes. So I am wondering who she will travel with in your party? Jericho? - lol --Sp3lly 21:19, 25 January 2009 (UTC)

I just edited this article significantly and was wondering about that statement as it was. I must admit that included it since I wasn't sure and I myself hadn't verified it. We should probably have someone verify it (I am not in a position to do so anytime soon) and fix it if necessary! MastahMatt 21:29, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
If you take the right dialog options she will join no matter who is with you. I have had her join with Fawkes and with Charon and with Clover all on separate occasions.--7h1s 07:43, 23 March 2009 (UTC)

Cross declines better armour[]

Cross doesn't seem interested in wearing better armour that I place in her inventory. She equips neither Enclave Power Armor nor Tesla power armor. Do others experience this and should we edit the article accordingly? (PC)

She will wear the T1 B Power Armor from Fort Constantine happily. It seems she has the -second- best armor in the game.

Jarpy 00:18, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

She's wearing the Tesla armor I picked up on the way to the Citadel, so she's at least wearing the Tesla in my game. (PC) 208.97.121.178 16:47, 2 December 2008 (UTC)

she will not wear armor with durability that is less than she currently is wearing (i have to repair Tesla armor before she wears them as most Tesla armor you get from enclave are in poor condition)

She, like all NPCs in the game will wear the best DR armor in her inventory. Her base armor that you cannot take from her is identical to |Brotherhood Power Armor in perfect condition that never wears out.(40 DR) --7h1s 07:59, 23 March 2009 (UTC)

  • Her default armour is a perfect condition BoS power armour, so it has 40 DR. the armour you have her must have more than the 40 DR, which not many Fresh-Off-The-Corpse Enclave/Tesla armors have.

--W00ty32 00:59, 22 May 2009 (UTC)

  • I had her when I went to Fort Constantine. She readily equipped the T-51 armor without issue. I'm not sure if she will where repaired Hellfire or Telsa armor. I'll try that tonight.Kingclyde 01:04, 22 May 2009 (UTC)kingclyde

Thats weird I gave her Winternized Combat Armour and she equiped it (she looks better in power armour) lol IAwnserFalloutQuestions 17:36, March 20, 2010 (UTC)

Not Worth It, IMO[]

She is okay for taking care of mutant insects when walking across the Wasteland (although even then I have to rescue her from giant mutant scorpians), but she does more harm than good in big fights. She yells out "Show yourself" to Super Mutants while I'm trying to sneak up on them.

She finally got killed when we were clearing Super Mutants out of Roosevel Academy, and I wasn't sorry to see her go. At least I got her Holotags out of it. I was about to head for Lamplight to get back on the main quest and will be picking up Fawkes soon, so she was going anyway. And unlikely that even crappier RL-3 (or whatever), at least she was free.

According to the stats NMA has, she has the best stats out of all the companions. At level 20, she has 100 in Big Guns, Energy Weapons, and Small Guns. Are you using her correctly? Most of us give her a flamer and a minigun, and in her power armor she cleans house. Even if she gets detected, you may not be. I tended to have Charon and Dogmeat be useful decoys prior to getting Cross, and scored sneak attacks on things they were fighting against/distracting.
NMA's stats are not correct. For example, Clover's agility is 6 instead of "11". Star's Hp is not 510 anyway.

Hmm... I'm a stealth type, I don't have any trouble. She does call out to them, but she also seems to distract them off of me so it doesn't matter. Also, I gave her T-51b, and she's like a walking tank. I gave her 30 Stimpaks when I first recuited her, and now quite a bit of time later, she hasn't had to use any of them.Fiddlesoup 00:32, 20 December 2008 (UTC)

Not worth ? My character is a sneaky one too, and since I used Star Cross as a tank I don't even care of ennemies. I gave her a Tesla Armor, the A3-21 plasma rifle, some grenades and she is able to take care fof all the deathclaws of Old Olney alone while I sit sneaking in the shadow and watch the show. This character is too powerful and unbalanced. It ruins the fun of the game. The only problem with her is she lose her guns quite easily. She had 2 gatling laser shot off her hands, and I could never recover them. She even lost the A3-21 once, but even with her super sledge she is deadly. Now I prefer Clover or Charon because they are strong but not that powerful. Croquignol 19:55, 31 January 2009 (UTC)

Why do people always complain about "too powerful" or "unbalanced"? Even if she is a bit awesome, don't we need that from time to time? If you don't like her, don't pick her up. If you prefer to protect someone and slow yourself down, keep Sydney as a permanent follower and stop complaining.--Sigan 23:51, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

I had Jericho as a follower initially but my karma improved so now he sits on his own in Moriaty's (I killed everyone in Megaton so I don't know where he gets all his drinks from!) But I picked up Star Paladin Cross later on at start of Broken Steel DLC. I find her a well balanced character. When I hadn't given her any of my stuff she was dying fairly easily (I play on the very hard setting unless I can't get past a particular point, where I dial it down a bit). Once I had some fully repaired tesla armour and plasma/laser weapons to give her, the improvement was very noticeable.

Like others, I don't find her shouting comments warns enemies of your presence necessarily. Unless you have a very high sneak (I chose other skills instead) then you have to be cautious near enemies anyway, i.e crouching and staying out of their line of vision. Also the time of day can affect drastically what creatures and quantity you meet at given locations. Try changing some of the characters tactics, there are several ways you can have them fight for you. I usually pick "not so close to me" and "ranged weapon" this allows me to then flank the enemy, useful particularly if there are a lot of powerful ones, like Old Olney and the deathclaws!!!! It is usually not a good idea to let your character do all the work either even though they can handle most things. You will lose XP points, they seem to be handed out randomly with a follower??? You don't necessarily get them for every kill as you would on your own. 89.241.244.123 14:20, February 9, 2010 (UTC)

Laser Pistol, Plasma Pistol[]

The comment in the article is misinformed. Really the infinite ammo is related to the default weapon which uses no ammo, rather than them actually having an infinite supply of the relevant type of ammo. --DarkJeff 15:59, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

I agree. Its the weapon, not the ammo... ~~     Frvwfr2     talk    contribs   17:10, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
Is this true for only the specific weapon she starts with or type of weapon? Would a better unique laser pistol also use no ammo given to her?

Only the default weapon has infinite ammo. even if you give her one of the same type she still needs ammo Sheepbiter 12:22, January 19, 2010 (UTC)

It is definitely the case that if you give the follower a weapon other than what they have as default, you will also need to give them a regular supply of ammo. Also remember to repair their weapons and armour as often as you do your own. It's a bit of a bind with the dialogue to do this but it does make for a stronger follower. 89.241.244.123 14:10, February 9, 2010 (UTC)

Stats[]

Posted her stats in my game at level 20, but there are discrepancies with this page. Feel free to verify, especially if you are low level. --Voidvector 16:00, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

That sounds kinda like a bug I had happen to my character once. His hands got all big and weird and looked like alien's hands.Fiddlesoup 00:34, 20 December 2008 (UTC)

I remember I had her following me, and I visited the Regulator HQ(to sell the fingers I'd acquired), and when I got inside, Cross started firing randomly, which caused Sonora Cruz to flee(although Cross didn't kills Sonora).

Unfortunately, Sonora has yet to return to where she's supposed to be, so I have a bunch of worthless fingers.--97.113.165.196 05:14, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

Console[]

Is anyone familiar with console commands enough to help me? Cross died in a really stupid way that wasn't my fault and I'm trying to bring her back. I have resurrected her but she's not giving me the dialog option to bring her along with me. Anyone have an idea? Tour86rocker 09:31, 8 February 2009 (UTC)

Update, she follows me, but starts fights with Casdin/Outcasts that doesn't cause them to attack me. Tour86rocker 09:45, 8 February 2009 (UTC)

Equipment Effect Stacking Exploit[]

EDIT: I wrote up a description on how to use this exploit on the Fallout 3 followers article. Hopefully it's clear. Dcruze 20:26, 8 February 2009 (UTC)

Questions and some small notes[]

Why is her preferred and default weapon the Super Sledge? Her melee weapons skill is very low. It really doesn't make much sense. Also, is there any way to switch companions when you have use the glitch (the one that works with the latest update) to make her join you? For example, is it possible to have Charon, Fawkes and Dogmeat as companions? Oh, and am I the only one who wishes you could remove default equipment? Cross in particular becomes an a lot less attractive companion since her heavy power armor will always take up a lot of weight, even if you just want to change her (rather ugly, honestly) brotherhood power armor into a different version of power armor.--Mehbah 17:39, 11 February 2009 (UTC)

I think Butch is the only one that you can take default weapons and armour from (un-patched 360, haven`t tried since) - Teh Krush 05:02, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
Apparently (and I can comfirm this on PS3) she wears Winterized combat armor over her default power armor, but it will always count against her carrying capacity. 68.192.9.90 02:38, November 1, 2009 (UTC)

Army[]

Hehe, i got both sets of T-51b and gave her the winter one, and Vengeance, then gave Charon the regular T-51b and Eugene, and equipped myself with Colonel A`s uniform and his laser pistol, the result was fun. Running around with the two best human followers equipped with best power armour is real fun. Looked like a lil squad of US soldiers. - Teh Krush 05:08, 15 February 2009 (UTC)

You should give them two pairs of fully repaired Enclave Hellfire armor and Charon the Precision Gatling laser instead of Eugene to make them both look more alike, like personal bodygaurds should. Kalalokki 19:57, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

Thats what i have done... but my army is far more spectacular... i got every companion (save butch, everytime i go to rivet city, my game freezes, fast travel or even walking, anyone know how to get past this point where it freezes would be appreciated) anyways, and charon, clover and jericho all have hellfire armor. I am still using the winter armor from operation anchorage, but i plan to switch over soon. Its fun ripping through the wasteland (i beat the game the right way first). Even on very hard, i ripped through the enclave mobile crawler like it was nothing, and hardly ever fired a shot.--207.255.125.246 19:45, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

I Have her and Fawkes, now fawkes alone is a one man army and i've personally see him take on 3 deathclaws and only lose 2 health but the two of them with me and Dogmeats puppy are practically unstoppable. (Maverick21 00:57, 18 July 2009 (UTC))
Old ... but Charon isn't a Human follower Zachariah Zuan 18:56, May 24, 2010 (UTC)

Quotes[]

I tried to organize them a bit and added some. Feel free to change it around if you've got a better organization or know the specifics of what causes her to say them. The latter is pretty vague for all followers, not surprisingly.

Anyone confirm she changes race?[]

Can anyone confirm that she can be caucasian with blonde hair, all the playthorughs for me she's black though Ive only played as a single race thorughout. I doubt she can change race but it would be interesting to know if she could.

Maybe people are mistaking her for Sentinel Lyons. 94.3.180.219 15:38, 12 July 2009 (UTC)

In my first playthrough she was black, like in the picture in the wiki. In my second, she is white with short black hair (and no, I'm not confusing her with Lyons, who is a blonde).

Cross is bugged for me.[]

Whenever I initiate combat and Cross is with me, she'll stay in the back with her arms in a position that one would have when they are holding a missile launcher or a Fat Man. Problem is, she doesn't have either one. She just stays in that position with her imaginary missile launcher the whole fight. Then, when the fight is over, she switches to the Flamer that I gave her. Any suggestions to fixing this?

Location[]

I haven't done Broken Steel yet, but where is she when you do the thing to the citadel?

Star Cross Stands Still...[]

Hi, on the 360 version - with all available downloads - I picked up Star Cross at start of the Broken Steel quest and we trekked off happily to the Grisly Diner, on our way to the Old Olney. I asked her to wait as I knew there were mines and while I have the Light Step PERK I've had problems with other companions setting off traps before. After a short scrap with raiders and a bit of collecting goodies I couldn't get her to move again! I've tried every combination of the speech choices but gave up in the end and there she stands... I had to reclaim all the stuff I'd loaded her up with and continue on my own.

I've been having a similar problem with her. The solution i got was to fire her, wait for her to return to the Citadel and rehire her. kinda tedious, but it's the only way i know of. -PoopskinTheLiar, who is STILL having problems logging in
Same thing happened to me when i had my team (her fakwes and the Pup) wait outside tenpenny tower so i could finish killing the security guards with out them slaying residents like they did to the general store girl. and now she wont move, which i suppose is fine cause she kinda bugged me, i didnt need her with fawkes, she'll go back to the citadel eventually and since all its security guards have had their heads blown off the place could use some defense, especially after i discovered i can get the suite there and my megaton place. man today is just full of useful glitches.(Maverick21 07:16, 18 July 2009 (UTC))

Keeper of the ARM???[]

what the heck is the ARM?? does anyone have any clue? Not that it matters, but I'm pretty curious.

The "ARM" is supposed to be her Super Sledge. It's apparently a relic of western Brotherhood technology, and it was the basis for the Brotherhood's mass-production of other, more inferior Super Sledges. Basically, it's the original Super Sledge. Nitty Tok. 04:50, February 25, 2010 (UTC)

Grenades anyone?[]

Has anyone given her grenades yet? Seen her use 'em in battle? I've seen Sydney use a grenade in battle effectively, and have given some to Charon because of his high Explosives skill and the suggestion to do so on his page, but I can't see here if I should give some to her or not. I'm going to try, but I'd like to hear what other people's experience(s) are with this. Thanks!--Sigan 23:57, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

Yes she can use grenades, just give them some and she will eventually use them, I don't know about the console version, but it does work on the PC version.

Yes she uses grenades very effectively on the xbox 360.On PS3 she is terrible with grenades often killing herself. If you are bringing sticky to big town her horrible grenade skill will lead to his demise. so there is a massive difference between her skill on the XBOX and PS3.--N'thro Notadee 18:14, February 28, 2010 (UTC)

She is terrible with grenades I was fighting feral ghouls with my shotgun and she picked up a frag threw it crippled my leg (PS3 I have never seen anyone use them well to be honost)Jbsnicket 21:53, April 6, 2010 (UTC)

Autoaxe[]

It says in the article that "she will swing like a hammer instead of using it the correct way". Um, swinging it like a hammer is exactly how you use it in VATS (instead of incinerating their flesh you swing it up and somehow do way more damage then just sawing at their face).Crimmastermind 09:43, 3 August 2009 (UTC)

I think the word you're looking for is "eviscerating". "Incinerating" implies the use of fire. 174.62.181.125 01:48, July 26, 2012 (UTC)

Lost Cross[]

I can't find Cross anymore. I had her as a follower, along with Fawkes, Charon, and Dogmeat. I went to my house, and told them all to leave me (You're fired, go to vault 101, we must part ways, etc.). Then I did Vault 87 quest, got the GECK, and moved on. SPC still hasn't returned to the citadel. I'm playing on the 360, any advice?--Sigan 18:02, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

I was going to start the pitt and before entering the tunnrl I told her to wait outside the tunnel when I activated the cart a message appeared saying she had gone back to the citadel. When I finished the pitt she just wasnt at the entrance so I go look for her in the lab and she isnt there. Im really mad because she had my fat man and the t-51b (I use the winterized version). Can anyone help me please??? noodle0007

Well, I'm not sure how to get her back, but in the future it is recommended that you fire followers at the place they return to in order to ensure they make the journey back to their home 68.192.9.90 00:56, November 12, 2009 (UTC)

Dropping Over Dead[]

I never saw anything wierd happen to Cross save for the odd freezing in place until I went to Girdershade one day to complete The Nuka-Cola Challenge. I managed to gather all 30 Quantums beforehand and had Cross hold them. I got them from Cross, took the tour and gave Sierra her Quantums and then I normally exited. I suddenly got a message saying that "Star Paladin Cross has died" even though she was standing. When I said okay to the message she dropped over dead like that. I checked the area and nothing was out of the ordinary as Dogmeat was just standing there panting as usual? Odd glitch or not?--KnightNapier 19:26, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

I gave her seven deathclaw hands and she went off and died on me!I looked around, had Dogmeat sarch an all I found was seven unraided dead Enclave members, three frags lying on the ground, and two o' those damned Talon Co. Members. Then I went back to my house and found Crowley just standing there, hostile.I guess he was trying to raid my house cuz I found my T51-B on his body alongside was two of my stims (He had 13 stims when he left and had 15 when he left my house).S in short I lost the chance to make SEVEN deathclaw gauntles!!ad Day,y'know? Cyborg?[]

I'm hearing things about how she has cybernetic enhancements or something. Wha?

Supposedly, according to the Prima Fallout 3 guide, Cross got pretty shot up at one time (like Murphy from Robocop but not as bad) and was refitted with cybernetic parts to replace the damaged parts. It says that she doesn't eat or sleep so it's possible that the lower chest and head was damaged. She doesn't have any marks on the head but they could've fixed that and you can't take her armor off after she dies (she only drops her holotags) so we may never know...--205.188.116.134 18:29, 28 August 2009 (UTC)

Cross won't join.[]

I had Cross before starting The Pitt. Now that it's finished I've gone back to the citadel to get her back in the party. But she's stuck with the dialogue that refuses me on account of having multiple followers. She's the only follower I've had besides Dogmeat, who is now dog meat ); I know it must be a glitch but does anyone have a tip to getting her back? (93.186.23.197 20:18, February 3, 2010 (UTC))

Lost after Broken Steel?[]

I turned on the Purifier myself, with Dogmeat's Puppy, Charon, Cross, and Fawkes as my followers. When I awoke in the Citadel, Charon, Dogmeat, and Fawkes were waiting for me, but no Cross. I searched all over the Citadel and Jefferson Memorial, but no sign of her anywhere.

Wait Here Bug[]

The part about her bugged "wait here" function could use a small rewording. You can fire and then immediately rehire her in the same spot to get around it. You don't have to let her get all the way back to the Citadel before rehiring her (thankfully). 97.73.64.155 15:12, April 9, 2010 (UTC)

Anohter way to fix the bug where she won't follow you[]

I've found another way to solve the bug, where she still stand at the same spot and won't follow you after you told her to wait. If Mothership Zeta is installed and you've finished it you can go back to the ship anytime. If Cross stand at the same spot then go to the mothership and then come back to the wasteland (if you have another follower with you he will be waiting for you at the Alien Home Beacon) then go to the place where Cross stand and then she should follow you and you don't need to fire and rehire her. I've only tested it once.

Cross has been to Germantown before?[]

When doing the quest that takes you to Germantown police station I noticed Cross often saying she'd been there before and that she remembered parts of it. Nothing specific so it could just be general dialogue on her part.

just now i was watching my bro play when he found a glitch where he gave star paladin cross "vengeance" and then checked her inventory later on to find a duplicated vengeance. if someone will test this, my bro may have just uncovered an awesome exploit.

The duplicate entry is, I believe, the ammo. It takes the name of the weapon for some reason, when this bug strikes. Kris (talk) 22:16, July 31, 2010 (UTC)

Sneak?[]

Can Cross sneak efficiently? If so, under certain circumstances, she may be better than Fawkes/Charon. However, if not, she's useless, as Fawkes health rises to over 230,000 in Broken Steel, and Charon can sneak.

--No. She has a sneak skill of 0, and is prone to attacking anything and everything.

Female!?![]

I never noticed Cross as a female she doesnt look it but i've never seen her in game as i play only evil bastards (98.247.10.62 05:30, September 1, 2010 (UTC))

Bad Karma acception?[]

If you recruit Cross with good karma then turn evil (bad karma) will she still be your companion? or will she leave you?

She will leave, though I don't know what the trigger for her leaving is; I've had her stay around when my karma dipped to neutral, but I took it back up. --Kris User Hola 16:59, September 14, 2010 (UTC)

Ethnicity[]

Cross appears fully Caucasian if not even a little Asian in my game, despite guides everywhere saying she's African American. Most likely a glitch, as I've also noticed 2 other graphic glitches by this point.

Ethnicity is a game setting, not a subjective judgement based on looks. And, there is no glitch. She does look like she's meant to.--Gothemasticator 05:45, October 24, 2010 (UTC)

why is the official name "cross"?[]

why is the name of this page "cross"? consider moving it to "Star Paladin Cross"?

the name cross sounds like a cross like the symbol. i know star paladin cross redirects but cross is a nickname, not a full name and should not be used in the title.

if you want people to know that she is known as cross, you could put it in the first sentence, "Star Paladin Cross, also known as Cross for short, is a possible follower NPC in Fallout 3, found at the Citadel in 2277."

Ranks and honorifics are ommited from article titles for clarity. Also, sign your posts. Personal_Sig_Image.gif Tagaziel (call!) 09:09, December 27, 2010 (UTC)

Fate after GECK retrieval[]

what happens to cross after you are knocked unconcious by the enclave after retrieving the GECK?--—Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.88.189.93 (talkcontribs) 17:14, 14 December 2010(UTC). Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

I would also like to know this. Is she supposed to return to the citadel or was she inside Raven Rock when it blew? Because the only person waiting for me outside was Fawkes, and he wasn't a companion to me until after I emerged from Raven Rock...--ImWithFreeman 05:46, February 4, 2011 (UTC)
Just found Cross at The Citadel inside one of the rooms just off the Laboratory. Seems since I picked up Fawkes as a follower after I left Raven Rock she spawned back at The Citadel. Hope that helps anyone still unsure of this.--ImWithFreeman 07:24, February 6, 2011 (UTC)

Beserk![]

K I'll get right down to it:

I was prospecting in the DC ruins, more specifically the Mall District (Museums, Capitol Building) and for no real reason she started burning me to a spit roast (no pun intended). Obviously I got annoyed and blew her face of with a .44 but there remains the tiniest doubt of what could have been. I don't no what I did wrong. Help? Please? The Victorious Phoenix

Cyborg?[]

How do we know she's a cyborg? Can someone tell me where in the game you're told? --94.4.45.200 23:16, August 14, 2011 (UTC)Phoenixstorms

I'd also like to know this. The only reason I know is becasue it says it here. If it IS in the game somewhere then it must be hard to find. Can someone explain how it is known she is a cyborg?

Its in the official game guide.--Wert1978 (talk) 20:59, February 3, 2013 (UTC)

Recruiting Any 2 companions using cross[]

Well , uh , i recruited her using the i dont suppose i can stop you option , she joined me even though i had Charon , i then tested recruiting fawkes and then tried butch , i did it by firing her and making them take her place , for some reason it works ? is this a one time thing , or will it always work for all companions ? and does it cause any problems of any sort ?

Specific location[]

Could someone add a more specific location? The Citadel is a pretty big place 174.92.76.95 21:40, November 8, 2012 (UTC)

I know that feel. The only place I've encountered her has been in the Laboratory area, but even then I can't seem to find her most of the time. I had to fire her inside Vault 87 to avoid her being vanished when I got taken to Raven Rock, but since going back to the Citadel, I can't seem to find her anywhere... and she had tough enough gear on her (T-51b and A3-21's Plasma Rifle), so I doubt she died in the wasteland. ~ SotiCoto (talk) 20:51, December 22, 2012 (UTC)

Maybe dead? Maybe not?[]

Okay, so I have Cross as a follower and we were in Vault 87. I'd already been there, so all the Super Mutants had been cleared and there were no apparent threats anywhere near us. I was pretty far ahead of her, I think, and I heard her say something like "Leg's been hit..." but didn't think anything of it and kept going. But when I turned around, she was gone. When I went back, she was lying on the ground. I assumed she was dead, but when I clicked on her, the "Talk Paladin Cross" option was there. The only thing I can do is get the things she's carrying from her.

Her health bar is full and won't deplete at all, and if you look at her long enough, she blinks. When I fast travel, she doesn't follow. But when I go through a door that has to load, she drops on the ground and lies there, blinking. I have no conversation options with her, so I can't fire her. I also can't kill her, since her health doesn't deplete.

Also, if I go back to a previous save when I know 100% that she was not like this, she is, of course, like this.

Anyone have any ideas?

TLDR; Paladin Cross is bugged and it's almost like she's paralyzed, but she still follows me through doors.

--Missdaenarys (talk) 23:30, October 2, 2013 (UTC)

EDIT:

Guns do not deplete her health, but grenades do. I had to blow her up. She eventually became hostile, but still continued to lie on the ground. She eventually died. When I returned to the Citadel, none of the other Brotherhood members were hostile. I'll update if she returns to the Citadel later.

Recruiting Cross while you already have a companion[]

I've noticed that other people have stated that you can recruit Cross even if you already have a companion by selecting the "I don't suppose I can stop you." dialogue option, and I can confirm this. I had Charon with me when I first encountered her at the Citadel, and I was able to recruit her on the spot without any previous directions to Charon to wait or anything. Should this be added to this article in the Bugs section? 216.10.193.21 19:32, December 30, 2013 (UTC)
