Weapon racks[]

I can absolutely confirm that the cryolator is not displayable on either the heavy weapon or small / medium wall stands included in the contraptions DLC. Playing on PS4 (Seventh sage (talk) 21:25, June 23, 2016 (UTC))

Dogmeat bug incorrect?[]

I'm running patch 1.5.4 and just took Dogmeat into Vault 111. I had already obtained the Cryolator, but the article says Dogmeat is blocked from entering the vault with this patch. Can anyone confirm? Or was it because I had started this playthrough before the patch was released? -- DeJuanNOnley (talk) 10:29, June 30, 2016 (UTC)

I tested this one PC a while ago most recent patch and Dogmeat doesn't enter. I will test again as so done has put it back. Sakaratte - Talk to the catmin 08:23, August 22, 2017 (UTC)
Confirmed Xboxone does not work.Xa3MysteriousStranger 19:18, August 23, 2017 (UTC)
Re-tested on PS4 version 1.10.64. Dogmeat will enter the vault, but "didn't find anything" even when standing right next to the cryolator case. Aya42 (talk) 16:35, February 10, 2018 (UTC)
I confirmed it on PC Dogmeat can not be used to get the cryolator. If you give him the fetch command he will go to the case, the cryolator will disappear, and he will come back with a Pipe Pistol or a Shotgun. To fix this reload and leave Dogmeat in Sanctuary and go to Combat Zone and get Cait and have her pick the lock. You will need a lot of lockpicks though.Geomodelrailroader (talk) 07:33, February 1,2021 (UTC)

Base weapon[]

The infobox states the "base weapon" is a flamer. In what sense is the cryolater based on a flamer? It looks different, uses different ammo, and has a different effect. Aya42 (talk) 22:44, February 3, 2018 (UTC)

I believe that it is like that because of the way the base Cryolator deals damage. They both sort of spray/spew their target with their fuel. The flamer sprays the target with fire, whereas the base Cryolator has a cryogenic spray. Just like the article says: "Conceptually, it is a flamer that shoots ice."-Zackmaster1 (talk) 05:39, February 4, 2018 (UTC)
Not really what I meant. On the Fallout 4 unique weapons page, the base weapon listed is, in all other cases, a weapon that can look identical, given the right mods. For example, Kellogg's pistol looks identical to any .44 pistol with a bull barrel and comfort grip. However, there are no mods which can make a flamer look like a cryolator. Unless there's anything in the game data to suggest otherwise, I shall remove this field. Aya42 (talk) 18:22, February 4, 2018 (UTC)
