His purpose[edit source]
I always figured he further illustrates to the player how Vegas destroys lives. Gambling away all your caps and not having money to get home. A bit of a lame way of doing it perhaps but it fits in with the story-line...
I kept talking to him, and suddenly he mentioned the east and scraps. It switched to dialogue mode, with the camera zooming on on him, immobilising you and showing dialogue subtitles. -A dude
i was a "terorist" as the NCR will call me (did only kill all humans in hover dam) then he was hosile towords me so i think he is NCR
Just recently I had this problem. I was going to sell some things at the 188 and when I got there I realised he was hostile. When he started chasing me, so did both Michelle and Samuel, both of whom I had to kill along with the traveler. Strangely enough, none of the other people at the 188 were effected by this. Can we un-stubbify this article? Granted , there's not much here, but nothing really to add. He's a boring, boring man. **** 'im. Minor Edits 04:49, January 7, 2011 (UTC)
Destitute Traveler no longer appears when I begin a new game. I still have a very old saved game where he's still at the 188, but he's nowhere to be found in any new games I start. Perhaps he was disabled by a recent patch?--184.108.40.206 03:26, July 4, 2011 (UTC)
