Vicious dog

Why was the vicious dog removed? It exists in the game. --User:Cartman!User talk:Cartman! 21:09, April 28, 2011 (UTC)

Looks like Shadowrunner removed it by accident when removing Rex (which I agree shouldn't be covered in detail here). Ausir(talk) 21:13, April 28, 2011 (UTC)
Oh I see. I only included Rex because of his species anyway, I didn't think the detail was extensive but fair enough. --User:Cartman!User talk:Cartman! 22:34, April 28, 2011 (UTC)

Possible Dawn of the Dead reference

I know this is completely far-fetched, but I think the fact that dogs are unaltered by radiation might be a reference to Dawn of the Dead, as there is a dog in that, and the zombies completely ignore it. It might be the developers suggesting that dogs will always survive the apocalypse. I know it sounds stupid, but I just thought of it then. --Wiseman of the Wastes 21:23, July 29, 2011 (UTC)

Dog in Honest Hearts

I was unsure of whether it was worth creating a Bugs section on this page to mention it, but I've found a Dog that has both of it's eyes floating vertically on the side of it's head. I have uploaded a (low-quality) pic here. This is on PC with the latest patch available (1.4.0.525) and no mods installed. Webbman 21:42, August 25, 2011 (UTC)

reskin

does new vegas still have unused dog meshes for other breeds in the geck somewhere?

Coywolf and Legion Mongrel

I just discovered the existence of a common wolf-coyote hybrid called the coywolf. One thing I noticed is that it bears an unbelievable resemblance to legion mongrels.

Coywolf

A coywolf born in captivity.

Perhaps this is the true origin of the legion mongrels.
