sounds scary Gheart 02:03, October 25, 2010 (UTC)

Does it look any different? Nitty Tok. 03:43, October 25, 2010 (UTC)

I believe it's a nod to Scott Everts, the Lead World Builder of FO:NV. On his Fallout wiki page it says he worked on Fallout and Fallout 2. It also says that he's also known as "ScottE" and the Editor ID of the gnome is "ScottEGnome" so... Hell, the gnome even LOOKS like him! God's in his Heaven... I lol'ed real hard when I passed by it in the cavern. Didn't want to pluck it out of the irradiated, glowing mushrooms it was standing in.

Possibly a WoW Reference?

I have a feeling this may be a nod to the MMORPG, World of Warcraft. The gnome itself looks a lot like a Gnome in game... So much so that I thought it was a glitch when I first spotted it. The place it's found in has an uncanny similarity to the dungeon entrance of Wailing Caverns, a place in World of Warcraft. Wailing Caverns had a tunnel that leads to a large open area, with a fairly large pool of water. (Very similar to this place) It had vibrant plant life, and was inhabited by dinosaurs/raptors. (The plant life is distinct and exotic here just like in WoW, and is inhabited by Geckos) Outside of Wailing Caverns was a large oasis-like area with a pool of water formed by natural springs. (Outside of the Fire Root Cave is the radioactive spring/pond, with more geckos)

Seems very similar to me, I'd like to hear what other players or former players of World of Warcraft think of this. -- 03:02, November 6, 2010 (UTC)

you play too much WoW :P

Haha, USED to play too much WoW. I've been off of Warcrack since February, hoping to get off the stuff for good. -- 18:49, November 7, 2010 (UTC)

hmm yeah it does remind me of wow kinda -- 04:20, December 5, 2010 (UTC)

Where at in the suite can I find this?-- 05:24, November 10, 2010 (UTC)

  • I think the page is incorrect. I don't see it anywhere in the suite either. ReapTheChaos 05:59, November 13, 2010 (UTC)
    • I've checked the entire Lucky 38 from top to bottom. If nobody can back-up that this Gawdy Gnome is in the Lucky 38 then the statement needs to be removed. ReapTheChaos 14:05, November 14, 2010 (UTC)
      • It's in the suite on a table, but is disabled and there is no function in the game to enable it, so it will never appear. 22:12, November 23, 2010 (UTC)

It might be worth mentioning that, besides the glasses and scowl, his coat is darker and his hair/beard shorter than the average dwarf's. And also the giant bald spot. 01:55, December 3, 2010 (UTC)
