Much of this info is either false or simply not confirmed. This article refers to it like it's a DLC, which is is NOT. NovaSilisko 19:38, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
- Huh? The article does not say that it's a DLC. Ausir 08:07, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
As of 21 Apr 09, the article states that New Vegas will be using the same engine as FO3. Has this been confirmed in any of the press releases or interviews, or is it just wild guessing on the part of some wiki editor? 22.214.171.124 17:06, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah I think the editor has misinterpreted the official press releases available. I know Vegas will use the same gameplay style as F03 but I don't remember reading it will use the same engine. This is why editors need to CITE SOURCES when making statements that aren't common knowledge. ~Unsigned 25 April 2009
While there isn't any confirmation yet, I think it is safe to assume that it will use almost the exact same engine as Fallout 3. This game hasn't been in the works for that long, and I doubt Obsidian is planning on developing an entirely new engine for a game that will (theoretically) come out next year.
- True enough, but keep in mind that in the past, Bethesda's general position has been that they are in the business of making games, not in making SDKs to let other companies make games. The amount of training and support that they would have to give to the employees of Obsidian on the G.E.C.K. and their other, unreleased, in-house development tools would be unprecedented for Bethesda. It might actually be cheaper for all parties involved if Obsidian were to license another engine from a company already experienced in giving help to licensees. 126.96.36.199 08:26, 12 May 2009 (UTC)
Swapping Companions[edit source]
[Sometimes you've lumbered yourself with a crap companion and you find a better one, but can't swap because your roster is already full] Is this possible ? It's driving me nuts trying to Google for this.
What is this. --BBilge 10:19, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
Fallout 3 will work on PCs running either Windows XP or Vista. New Vegas will most probably run on Windows 7, as Fallout 3 runs just fine on Windows 7. "most probably, wtf? 188.8.131.52 23:20, 3 May 2009 (UTC)
Main Character Nickname[edit source]
I wonder what the player's nickname will be? In the first game it's the Vault Dweller, in the second game it's the Chosen One, in the third one it's the Lone Wanderer, what will this player be? It's in Vegas, so I guess it will be the Gambling Fighter.
Well that's fucking lame 184.108.40.206 00:32, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
Unless he becomes "The Gambling turd" That's a pretty epic name.TheLoneWanderer2 10:55, 9 June 2009 (UTC)

"That dude... you know.. I think you knew him once, maybe? No? Okay."
That sounds nice. Vault Dweller, Chosen One, Lone Wanderer and The Courier. Nice. http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout/images/5/58/User_AreYouGoingToEatThatNuke%3F_Game_image_4028.gif - NuclearWhip Blab 05:04, February 21, 2010 (UTC)
Weapons and Scenery[edit source]
Will the weapons and armor be entirely new, resemble FO3's looks, or be like the original games?..
Also, will the setting/scenery resemble the original games?
- for example: will the Nuka~Cola machine have the original look or FO3's? --Skober 15:44, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
additional information[edit source]
is there any thing like pictures that you coud release like a rough copy of the cover or maybe a detailed description of somethingnew from the game that might not have been in any of the other fallouts?
I can't wait for this game as it takes place in my hometown. Maybe they'll do some special secret ads around here.--18.104.22.168 05:41, 17 August 2009 (UTC)Accipe Hoc
Well dude, that would be horribly unfair, its like making a game based on all of..japan, then showing "special' previews only in japan,so i doubt that."anonymous"
No it's not, think of how GTA IV ads were in New York. You may consider it unfair but they are just ads... Insane! 05:30, January 1, 2010 (UTC)
Well, they already did it, you guys had a news story about it (must've been a slow news day). The internet is so useful for ruining special things done for certain areas :) 22.214.171.124 17:32, July 29, 2010 (UTC)
Possible Release Date[edit source]
...And usually they're right... Insane! 02:45, October 14, 2009 (UTC)
Hell yea, it comes out on my birthday!!
Don't get to excited, normally release dates that are on the first are just speculation... Insane! 22:11, January 18, 2010 (UTC)
I will expand the article with all the subjects/info, however they aren't known and hence, please don't speculate. It would be appreciated that if there's any new info that it's referenced. Insane! 05:33, January 1, 2010 (UTC)
Done, the Story section will be added later.... Insane! 06:45, January 1, 2010 (UTC)
- The speculation and unknown stuff was not helpful to the article. It just made actual information a little harder to find. I restored the article to the way it was.--Gothemasticator 06:56, January 1, 2010 (UTC)
PLEASE!!! MAKE IT SO THAT THERE ARE VEHICLES!!
will there be any vehicles? like, a restored car? bike? tanks?
Wait until the info comes out in the next OXM, then maybe it might say. Insane! 03:21, January 13, 2010 (UTC)
Will Fallout New Vegas have a co-op feature in the game and if it does how will it work, if it doesnt *opinion* i beileve that it should yes in Fallout 3 it made it more difficult to fight multiple enemis but it would be a nice twist.
Release date[edit source]
Fallout New Vegas will be released on October 19 2010 in North America and on October 22 in Europe.
Changes from Fallout 3[edit source]
Could you list the known changes from Fallout 3 here? 126.96.36.199 11:43, March 6, 2010 (UTC)
I think that would be a really good idea. I'm a little behind (I thought this was coming out in November) so I am definitely not the one to make the change. I have, however, heard that one of the big differences from Fallout 3 is that in New Vegas aiming is done through the use of iron sights, rather than an increased-zoom cross-hair. Colin The Guy 02:59, October 18, 2010 (UTC)
Source on that? I'm interested in where that info was taken, so citations would be interesting and obviously would increase the credibility of the article. Or is it mere speculation?

Release Date (again)[edit source]
So now that it has been confirmed that release is in october 2010, why were my changes reverted back to the "Fall of 2010", thereby giving a less near-to-release date? HoZKiNZ 18:11, June 12, 2010 (UTC)
Voice Actor[edit source]
Any idea if Liam Neeson will be in it again? That would be awesome.Mycatisorange 10:55, June 27, 2010 (UTC)
Energy Weapon build.[edit source]
Does anyone have any suggestions on making a energy build?
USB Gamepad?[edit source]
Is it possible to use a playstation 2 controller with a USB adapter? Will aiming and walking slow work?
Honest Hearts+bonus pack= ???[edit source]
In Fallout: New vagas, I have downlowded an added bonus, and then the expansion pack "Honets Hearts". Honest hearts has so far not downloaded. I was told by a freind that this was because the added bonus came with a French version that has to be deleted in order for Honest Hearts to run. Unfortinatly, I have no idea how to delete this French version. Could someone help me out?
