I changed the repair requirement for the tripwire to 22 because I know this from my most recent playthrough. My un-handy character was able to disarm bear traps before he could disarm tripwires, so the requirement for disarming bear traps must certainly be lower than the 25 listed, but I don't know what the correct number is. Rigged mailbox?

I have yet to encounter one of these after several playthroughs of FO3 and FNV. Is there a way to tell them apart from a normal mailbox? User:Great_MaraUser talk:Great_Mara 22:25, July 13, 2011 (UTC)

They explode.

They are proximity activated. By the time you are close enough to see the little bomb antenna like on a rigged terminal you better hope you have the skill minimum to disarm them. They can be and often are triggered by enemies, so sometimes you may never see them. In FO3, there are rigged mailboxes near the Raid Shack, and there is one in front of Kaelyn's Bed & Breakfast to name a couple places to find them. The only one I know of in FO:NV is near the Monte Carlo Suites. --Xclockwatcher 21:54, July 31, 2011 (UTC)
