Sweetroll[]
Actually, the sweetroll question dates way further than Morrowind. I remember meeting it in PC games since roguelikes (1980s), and most likely comes from pen-and-paper RPGs. Just my two cents. 95.55.7.88 04:17, September 8, 2009 (UTC)
The great Sweetroll pounding...[]
Does anyone know if there is anything that you can do when Butch attacks you for the Sweetroll? I know how to avoid the fight, but I don't know how to actually fight back if I do get him to attack; it just seems really lame that you'd just stand there and let him pound you at your own birthday party.
Bugs[]
I'm sticking these here for now.
- It is possible to push Officer Kendall into the area where the target practice takes place and turn him hostile; wherein he will try to kill you, providing the only known opportunity for death as a 10 year old outside of cheats. If you can reduce his HP to 0, he will simply be rendered unconscious.
- The same can be done with Amata and Beatrice, although they will attempt to flee if attacked. While you cannot kill Amata, you may kill Beatrice if you wish. No Karma will be lost from doing this. It's possible to do it with other characters as well.
Triggering the intercom[]
Is there a way to make so Dad gets the call from Jonas so the door can be opened and THEN have Butch talk to you? That way he can attack you and follow you all the way to the reactor where you can get your BB gun and fight back.
yes when he gets up to talk to you avoid him untill your dad tells you to go to the reactor go to the reactor and wait untill butch comes down and talk to jonas and then butch will be stuck like other characters but if you start a fight gomez wont be able to stop it and since hes a kid he cant die so you will eventually die unless you finish the quest.
Naming the Tunnel Snakes[]
Butch actually said "...who would want to run around being called the Vault Rulers?" It may be difficult to hear what Butch said because he's a kid, but I know that's what he said. Jackass2009 07:14, January 31, 2010 (UTC)
No, he said "Vault Dwellers". He just deepened his voice to mock Paul Hannon, who proposed the idea. If you walk near them when they're having the conversation, and general subtitles are enabled, it even reads "Vault Dwellers".
Bug (end)[]
Even if you knock out Jonas with the BB gun, the light will still flash when you stand next to Dad, and the next quest will begin. odd. 173.75.43.97 01:16, May 30, 2010 (UTC)
Transition quotes[]
Anyone know what files contain the transition quotes? I want to listen to them carefully and see if I can come up with a definitive answer for each one. Or, it may be best to remove that section entirely since they're designed to be hard to make out in the first place. Birthday Picture[]

Sweetroll[]
The Sweetroll is probably a reference to The Elder Scrolls: Arena. One of the starting questions to pick your class is
"While in town the baker gives you a sweetroll. Delighted you take it into an alley to enjoy, only to be intercepted by a gang of three other kids your age. The leader demands the sweetroll, or else he and his friends will beat you and take it. Do you:
a) Drop the sweetroll and step on it, then get ready for the fight?
b) Give him the sweetroll now without argument, knowing that later this afternoon you will have all your friends with you and can come and take whatever he owes you?
c) Act like you're going to give him the sweetroll but at the last minute throw it in the air, hoping that they'll pay attention to it long enough for you to get a shot in on the leader?"
Since both games are by Bethesda, that's probably it.
