Does it increase damage even if you have a Unarmed weapon equipped instead just fists (eg. Power fist)?

Yes it does. This perk is REQUIRED later in the game if you're a power-fist jocky. Everyone else, it's somewhat useful if you run outta ammo or you skimp on weapon maintainance (but that's your own fault).-accountless avenger
I see this perk has a STR requirement. Uh...interesting.

Why would you use a power fist if you have a deathclaw gauntlet? It ignore DR. If you want my opinion (you probably don't) I think the gauntlet owns the fist.

Damage[]

...Shishkebab into a powerhouse (60+3fire/5s).??

  • Base with Pyromaniac: 35 + 3/5s = 50
    • max with Pyromaniac (Str 10): (35 + 6.5) + 3 x 5s ≈ 42 + 3 fire/5s ≈ 57 total
  • if DR = 45, then base: 35 x (1 - 0.45) + 2/5s = 29
    • max without perks (Str 10) (35 + 6.5) x (1 - 0.45) + 2 x 5s ≈ 33 total
    • with Pyromaniac (Str 10): (35 + 6.5) x (1 - 0.45) + 3 x 5s ≈ 38 total

Fallout New Vegas cut content?[]

Under ranger stella's stats it says she has the iron Fist perk which gives her a whopping +30 to unarmed damage, either someone is being a idiot or this perk is in FONV but not obtainable.

I checked the Fallout.esm with FNV Edit and near as I can tell Iron Fist doesn't exist anymore. She actually has a spell effect applied to her that the iron fist perk would use if it still existed.--LordVukodlak (talk) 10:40, April 16, 2013 (UTC)

Fallout 4 Bug[]

The paralyze included in Rank 5 of the perk also causes the same bug as the Cryolator.

"After a cleared area resets, enemies killed with the Cryolator may respawn lying on the ground, completely unable to move or attack. These enemies will be in this immobile state every time they respawn." 2601:982:8200:6F30:21D3:BC50:1116:CD41 23:08, November 1, 2019 (UTC)
