Voice actor

Her voice isn't as pronounced as some of her other works, but I definitely recognize Laura Bailey

"Even though she asks The Courier to talk to the Crimson Caravan about supplies, there is no option to talk to Alice McLafferty about the supplies. " Alice does not talk about it, but the one trader outside of her barrack will talk about it with the player. Not sure if this marks the quest as finished tho'.--Mr.Lexx(talk) 21:37, October 28, 2010 (UTC)

You're not always offered the lab coat after becoming "Accepted"

I'm on my 3rd play through and have completed High Times all 3 times. I'm "Liked" and was never offered to join the Followers. There must be another trigger or something else that's easy to miss. 02:49, November 4, 2010 (UTC)

You have to give them meds until you're Idolized. CapAp 03:20, November 6, 2010 (UTC)

My PC is now idolized by the Followers. Neither membership offer, which I need to access the skill book located in the Followers Safehouse, nor lab coat have so far been offered. I have left the fort and reaccessed her a few times; I went back to the Garrett's and confirmed the deal for supplies (and purchased a nifty taste of Rum 'n Nuka). I even chatted up Arcade along the way, although I did not ask him to be my follower. So far no joy... apart the exhilarating taste of Rum 'n Nuka. What gives? Any ideas, folks? Growl-tiger 10:13, November 8, 2010 (UTC)

Engaging Arcade as a personal follower did not trigger an invitation, so still no joy. This is annoying. Growl-tiger 17:11, November 8, 2010 (UTC)

For what it is worth, I should mention that by the time I had my first encounter with Julie Farkas I had long ago completed That Lucky Old Sun quest and had achieved Follower faction acceptance. So I was on my way. I do not know what impact it may have had, but I also got Jerry the Punk a membership; he is in residence with Julie in her lab area now. So I guess they like me but not enough to have me as a member. What more can I do? Growl-tiger 17:18, November 8, 2010 (UTC)

Having the exact same problem man. I honestly don't know what to do either. The only thing I can think of is that by us getting in good with them BEFORE we go there and start the High Times quest it glitches out? Like you need to be neutral and achieve Accepted by doing the quest? I was Accepted before I got there and now I am Idolized, yet she says nothing. I thought maybe having one of my followers did it, but if you can't with Arcade that can't be it. --Jimimorrison 03:32, November 9, 2010 (UTC)

OK...I got her to invite me! After I got Idolized I didn't bother giving them more chems. So I figured maybe after that I should. I gave her a few more Med-X and she offered to sell me skill mags. After I left the conversation I engaged her again and she said I fixed their supply issues and asked me to join and gave me the coat. I am guessing that you need to either do it this way after you get Idolized, or you need to give her more chems until she asks. Either way it appears it is the medical supplies that trigger this more than the quest does since I don't believe that quest has anything to do with it other than to help raise your standing with the faction. --Jimimorrison 03:43, November 9, 2010 (UTC)

Excellent, that did it, Jimimorrison. I approached her and maximized my chem contribution to her. In that same dialog, as you observed, she offered her spare magazines (which, I must add, was a nice selection). I exited the dialog and then re-initiated another dialog where I again offered chems. And, again as you observed, she said the Fellowship was good for now and then she gave me the lab coat and offered me a membership to the Fellowship. What a relief. Thanks, again, for the useful update. Consider this a message confirming the finalization process towards membership after the Fellowship idolizes the playing character. Growl-tiger 06:47, November 9, 2010 (UTC)

When you are accepted by the followers you can buy the skill magazines from Julie but you need to become idolized before you can get the Lab Coat. It's fairly easy to gain positive reputation by donating chems in order to achieve this. Julie will then ask you if you would like to join them. When you accept, you will be rewarded with the Followers Lab Coat.

I've just recently reached the Old Mormon Fort with a new character (one who I intend to get "idolized" with the Followers) and Julie Farkas is nowhere to be found. I've scoured the area, waited, everything I can think of, and she's still not there. Anyone have an idea on why this is/where she could be? -- {{SUBST::User:Claptrap/sig_preferences}} 11:50, December 6, 2010 (UTC)

There's an interior portion of the fort. Did you check there? --Kris User Hola.jpg 13:01, December 6, 2010 (UTC)
I had the same thing occur, she can't be found anywhere in the fort but appeared later when I returned to the location. She can also get hung up on the tents, walking in place behind them. Mictlantecuhtli 13:50, December 6, 2010 (UTC)
I've checked the interior portion (if by that you mean the guardhouses) and I also checked every person there by making sure I saw who each yellow point on my compass represented. She doesn't seem to be there at all, which is disappointing. -- {{SUBST::User:Claptrap/sig_preferences}} 23:32, December 6, 2010 (UTC)
Had the same problem- solved it by starting the "G.I. Blues" quest and getting to the second part; she popped up when I visited the fort again. Probably useless now but if anyone else needs help? 01:04, April 25, 2011 (UTC)

Endless supply of skill Magazines

When you have been accepted by the followers (either by completing quests or donating chems), Julie will sell you a wide selection of skill magazines. These include Fixin' Things, Lad's Life, Meeting People, Programmer's Digest, Salesman Weekly and Today's Physician.

When you have cleared out her inventory of magazines, tell her that you have some chems to drop off. When prompted for a reply, select "Never mind" and the magazines will be restocked in her inventory. The magazines stack in quantity each time that you repeat those steps, so you can go through the dialogue options many times and then buy the magazines in bulk.

You can leave the fort, come back later and she will still have an endless supply of the magazines, as long as you exploit the dialogue bug.

(Confirmed on unpatched PS3 version of the game)

NCR assistence?

On Youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jEX-d0yuxGk&feature=related it appears to be possible to have the Followers stay when the NCR claim victory at Hoover Dam. In the comments it is said that speaking to Julie before the battle can trigger to some dialogue that makes the Followers aid the NCR after the battle, which would trigger the Followers slide that claims the NCR allowed the Followers to stay. Can it is obvious from the video that it is somehow possible, but can someone verify? Radnus 21:21, January 3, 2011 (UTC)

Julie Farkas has a bugged dialogue option regarding helping the NCR at Hoover Dam after joining the Followers, rendering the vast majority of players unable to get the NCR aid ending for them. The reason for this is that the dialogue option checks if you didn't progress far enough in regards to the NCR main quest, when it's intended that you should be able to afterward. Idolized to join Followers?

I did it with Dark Child, Very Good Karma (after completing all her quests and donating a lot of things). After the magazine dialogue, she waited the requisite few days and when I came back she walked up to me and offered it. It seems that joining the Followers is tied to Fame 100+, and not your actual reputation. Edited this page, and the Safehouse page.

Can one of the mods lock this page? Someone keeps editing it saying that she's a whore and the like--Icommandoxx 02:22, March 20, 2011 (UTC)icommandoxx

Yes Man

Yes Man says he was reprogrammed by a girl from Mormon Fort..maybe she?

No, he was reprogrammed by Emily Ortal.

360 potential endless magazines?

With version on the 360, I was able to get her to restock by giving a med-x and then going to buy medical supplies. In the same dialog session, I gave another med-x and she restocked the magazines.

Not sure if it is infinite, did it 3 times. This is after joining the followers.

Giving her Med-x is not necessary. When you give her enough supplies she will have a dialog option about magazines. When you use it then whenever you exit out and go back into the barter menu the magazines will be restocked (I think this will only work so long as you are in the cell at that time if you leave Old Mormon Fort the next time you speak to her she will have restocked but only this once) at least this is my experience with it.

I could be wrong but does she not also offer a 1:1 trade ratio? Didn't see it anywhere on the page but I know this to be true in my game. 04:23, June 23, 2011 (UTC)

The discount is variable as some other merchants. The 1:1 ratio offered by Julie Farkas is mentionned on the barter page here :[[[Barter#Available_Discounts_2]]]. Croquignol 08:25, July 20, 2011 (UTC)

Old World Blues

On the top of her page there is the Old World Blues symbol. Where do they mention her in the add on? Charlie1121 20:34, August 8, 2011 (UTC)

Followers pro-NCR ending

So originally there was supposed to be an option to talk to Julie at some point to get her to ally the FoA with the NCR, but it was bugged and did not work. However, according to some sources, one of the official patches for the game (not sure which one; should go back and look) fixed this bug. If this is true, then when does the option trigger, or become available within the game? -- 23:55, September 22, 2011 (UTC)

Name Change

Someone has changed the name of this page to Julie Farks, and I am unable to change it back. The help of an admin is needed. Jol87 12:17, October 1, 2011 (UTC)

Vandalism on the page

I spent most of the morning in an edit war with some Xarec123, who was vandalizing Julie's page. Dude, get a life.

Possible reference?

There's an old Sierra game called Freddy Pharkas: Frontier Pharmacist. Julie has a very similar last name, lives in a similar-to-old-west setting, and sells beneficial drugs. Webrunner 20:22, October 18, 2011 (UTC)
